I was just wondering what the threshold was for embracing a city. No need to get hostile.

Myers looked very good . I guess Mr Pegula's talk at the end of last year worked.

I will say this about Vanek. To me, the order of optimal situation with him ends up like this:

1. He is traded for some sort of return.

2. He signs a new contract here.

3. He walks for nothing.

The Sabres sound like #2 is possible, and actually what they are hoping for. If that's the case, he better get the C. The only way you convince him to stay is to tell him that it's his team if he wants it.
