But Robin said he's changed his tune about how much he wants though, that's what Im talking about.

I'm saying that's been his tune for a week or so, as reported by Dregger and Mac

biggest argument FOR signing him I have is it makes it all the more likely Rielly goes back to Jr.

Right now it's a toss up, though still looks like he's going. With Franson, they can't fit Rielly under the cap OR in the lineup.

- Big_Lightnin

Rielly is NOT making the team this year.

I would be supper and pints

I agree he SHOULD NOT, but that doesn't mean he won't.

I doubt Rielly makes it either way.

But from the Leafs perspective they are a better team with Franson in the lineup. No doubt.

That's not something Franson really cares about I bet.

If he's willing to take a deal that works this year, sign him.

- robin_steele264

its up to nonis to run the team. if he feels signing franson to a 1 yr is detrimental to the future of the leafs then it wont get done.

why do the leafs have to bite the bullet when the player has no leverage. absurd.

Yeah. He obviously knows a long term 4+ mill deal isn't gonna happen this year.

Him agreeing to a 1 year deal that fits... 2 mill or so, tells me he's confident that he can go earn that big contract.

I think it's pretty fair if he takes low cap hit 1 year deal.

So if he plays in Russia this year...do the leafs only own his rights for 1 more year...

I have zero clue..but if I was Franson, I'd go to Russia if someone there offers him more than $3m

Get it done Robin...(frank) he's 1 of my fav's!!!!!

Been hoping he was gonna work out ever since we took on Lombardi's contract.

1st year had to watch Lombardi bang into the boards while Franson watched from above...(frank)ing Wilson/Burke clueless (frank)s!!!!

he won't go to KHL, he'll sign an offer sheet first.

EDIT: hell I bet he'd take the Leafs 2 yr lowball deal first and then just say (frank) it an hit the market as UFA

Getting better is right...funny guys saying he's 26 and peaked but he's never really been given a shot until last year...( not given a shot due to other talents on the team )
