Lol, Brown does have some skill, he should put up some very good numbers this year. Will he be signed is the question though.

the guys that are left who were not on the roster last year are all fighting for 4th/3rd line spot duty, and press box chicken wing munching tasks.

Also, some of these guys have 1+ mil NHL contracts, so the Leafs have to be wary of who they keep around if they are still thinking of getting Raymond as well.

Edit: I personally would love the chicken wing job while earning 1 mil in salary, and watching hockey games from the box.

All good moves, to get this team to a more manageable size and start working on their game. It's all well and good to make revenue for the league, by selling out exhibition games, unlike the idiocy in Florida yesterday.

Speaking of that foolishness, the league could have scored some real money, if they had of played that game in a CHL building and used the money for the cash strapped welfare teams, like the Panthers. Watching the Kraft Hockeyville game and seeing the demand for tickets locally, the league could have helped their bottom line. It reinforces the idea that hockey will never sell in many of the southern markets.

Many of the southern teams, their fans are too busy trying to emulate Duck Dynasty, could make the equivalent of a full gate, with an exhibition game in an OHL/WHL/QMJL building. Less seating, but triple the ticket price. I'd rather see people who want to see the NHL, seeing it and contributing to it's coffers. Who needs Mountain Dew and his Sam Walton minions getting discounted tickets, when the league could make more in Canada.
