At this point, I wish for two things:

1) That the actual Champlain bridge doesn't collapse while people are still on it.

2) That I get to see the new bridge before I die.

I'm not schooled in engineering or construction, but does it really take 8 years to build a bridge?

They haven't picked the design yet, then there is the whole environmental issue being over the St-Lawrence. Best case scenario, construction won't start until 2016-2017

my main point was that he seemed to have trouble staying with forwards taking him to the outside. that's more of a footwork thing and plenty big guys while maybe slow have a better time going from backwards to front. but i'm no pro scout so i likely was watching apollo ohno with a stick in his hand and didn't realize it.

That would make sense then, transitioning in speed skates is not easy.

No but it is being built in Quebec which means that it will take 3x longer than it should...

took about 2 years to build the one across the St.Lawrence Seaway for the Highway 30. It's pretty big

They are awarding the contract for that part in November but it's PWGSC who is handling the contract part so expect countless delays and screw ups
