is there any chance Collberg makes the team? - scotch_tape
Maybe untill Gionta gets back, but I don't think he has played enough hockey just yet to stay in the NHL the whole year. He needs more experience. Barely played any minutes in Frolunda last season. They fired the coach and hired the guy who coached him at the WJC, he's going to get PP time and 3rd line minutes.
He is talented enough, that's for sure. |

Did you see that Bruin (I don't remember which peckerhead it was), face wash one of the Sedin twins a few years back.
You wanna talk about a wussy. |

That ranks right up there, he just stood there and took it.
Love to see that happen again, and Tort's reaction.... |

So a guy that will play 3rd line minutes in Frolunda could replace Gionta in the NHL, playing 1st/2nd line minutes?
I'm not sure but... |

Collberg is still here because they just want to see him play a little more before he leaves for Sweden. Leblanc, they can see him in Hamilton and call him up anytime.
There is no way Collberg stays. I think he'll go back to Sweden after the two games vs. Carolina this weekend. |

It's either:
A) Gionta sucks
B) The NHL sucks
C) Frolunda rocks
D) QP is wrong |

Those reports are wrong. He can't. His team as let him come here for training camp, but that's it. He wasn't even at the rookie camp. It's the NHL, or back to Frolunda for him. |

This.
I think that's too bad because getting used to the smaller ice in the AHL would be a good thing for him. |

He's still under contract for a year over there...I imagine that if he were to be a sensation during training camp, Habs would try to work something out with Frolunda to make them release him.
If he does get ice time, staying another year in the SEL isn't a bad thing though. |
