definitely a bad sign for Leblanc... should be the end of the road for him in Montreal. interesting that they'd keep McCarron around. maybe they anticipate that he could be ready sooner than they thought, in 1-2 years as opposed to 3-4 years.

Poor Leblanc is done like dinner.

all i'm saying is that it was a noticeable sub plot to the game last night. i have not seen 50 sharks games a year.

Well then....you are obviously not QP or Adam.

Did you watch Pittsburgh in the playoffs last year. HE WAS AWESOME!

Tarnasky was invisible last night. Missed a perfect occasion.

What's interesting with McCarron is that they will be able to send him down to Hamilton right away next season, if they feel he's ready for it.

I think his main problem is that he simply doesn't have anything special enough to make him have a "role" on this team.

He does alot of good things well, but nothing well enough to justify his presence.

Not good enough offensively for a top 6 role, not good enough defensively or physical enough defensively for a bottom 6 role.

I'm not sure even he knows what he's supposed to be.

I understand this is pre-season but I am concern about the DD line. If Therrien plans on having them as offensive role, I think it won't be enough. DD is so small that he needs two big winger in order to be effective IMO (referring 2 yrs ago with Cole & Max). I would definitely try Bourque and Max to play with DD. But this would have a trickle effect of having Briere to play with Pleck and Gionta. And again the smurf line would be alive...

Unless DD plays like 2011-2012 season or better, I think he could become a problem for Therrien on the long run this season.

i'm not trying to be snarky or trying to bait you. i really don't see why you'd think it's not a valid observation. for an NHL defensman he's not a good skater.

so he had nothing to do with them winning the first two rounds, but he had a huge hand in them losing a series in which they scored 3 goals in 4 games?

got it. i just hope Marc Bergevin is reading this thread because the only logical step forward at this point is to shoot Douglas Murray.

There is a no tuck rule in the NHL now?

First they remove pictures of Gretzky in the Oilers locker room, and now this?

no one is saying that but if that's the approach you want to take, i'm not surprised.
