Where he was drafted and who he is compared to doesn't mean a whole lot. Larson may be become a good player. But he hasn't proved it yet. You really think he's better than Staal and Moore?
- GioRock

He is better than Moore and all i said was he played better than the both of em last night. Cause he did. Outside of Schneider he was the best guy on the ice all night.

Homer bullcrap. Larson very mediocre last night, which I guess is a step up. Better than Moore. I wouldn't bet on it.

The Rangers are the classiest organization in the NHL. We simply can't match it. What we need to understand is that winning championships doesn't matter because we can simply never match the Legacy of the New York Rangers. I mean they had Gretzky!

Yea total homer. Sorry I didn't catch what scouting agency you work for that gives your opinion of players and their play more credibility then everyone else?

I thought Bernier had a pretty decent game since he is a guy we haven't mentioned yet. I think he looked pretty good with Henrique who also had a decent game. Bernier brings that Parise hustle to the team something we need more of

Apparently Larsson isn't able to outplay the amazing Marc Staal and the great John Moore. To speak ill of these two defensive gods is blasphemy.

Bernies was good but Henrique can be better still. Wasn't bad or anything just didn't stand out last night to me. Thought most of the young guys played well. Teddy, Jo, Lokti, Gelinas, Urbom all had solid games. Fayne and Volch where disappointments as was harrold as usual.

Yesterday was all about the young guys and Schneider. I'm sure one of these preseason games we'll get to evaluate some of the older new guys (Ryder, Clowe, Jagr, Brunner) assuming we'll be able to watch those games. Are they even televising any of them?

I still say we trade Fayne. I don't think he's great and he'd probably fetch more in a trade than Harrold or Volchenkov. He still have too many dispensable D.

I am glad I haven't went around tooting my horn about Boucher yet he still needs a lot of work on his skating mind you I think taking that penalty so early in the game might of changed his play and his mindset. I will give him a pass for now. Henrique had a good chance but he can be better that is why I said he was decent. They also didn't shorten the bench so Zajac (Darcy) Barch and Janssen seen more ice then I would of liked them to when to me it wasn't all that rough of a game.

I am not against trading Fayne per say but I still Urbom becomes the odd man out along with another Swedish forward.

I like Urbom he's not flashy at all but i like what he brings keeps it simple out there. He's real big too something we need on Defense is size. Gelinas is quite large too he's about the same size I believe.

On Boucher i thought he was okay. Didn't play horrible and you could tell he didn't look out of place out there. Would of like to see him skate with Henrique but oh well. He definitely has some work to put in though. AHL time will do him good.

Way too many players at the moment in general. But i guess that's a good problem to have. The last few seasons we have had no depth. Calling up guys like Sestito every time there was injury...

He is a true pro already in the way he handles himself so I am not so much worried with him when it comes to off ice preparation or practices because he will put in the work that needs to be and like I said being a kid with high expectations being the teams best offensive prospect taking that penalty could really of gotten in his head about what he was going to do and not to from that point on he likely started playing a safer game. We just got Brunner to (basically) so there is no rush with Boucher if he makes it that is great he is a head of schedual but we have the players in place that he doesn't have to and he shouldn't have to worry about being the offensive savior of a franchise he can just go about his development at his pace.

Also I like that Urbom brings size and is able to fight where as Volchenkov is a little less mobile and I am not really sure how he would fair in a scrap. The thing is we are getting this really good two way defenders that are almost making guys like Volchenkov and Urbom obsolete.

Yup what I liked from was he didn't shy away from contact. Took a few hits and threw some. I never saw him play before last night and thought from his stats and other things I read he was finesse guy. I was happy to see that he doesn't seem to be a pure finesse guy.

I thought henrique was great, the only thing he could have done differently was to pot those two scoring opportunities he had.
