Very good first preseason game for what it's worth.

Schneider looked great.

Larsson looked great.

Tedenby looked very good as well.

Really curious to see how the forward situation plays out with Brunner, Teds, JJ, and Olesz.

Only got to see the 1st, I'm guessing Tedenby continued to play well? I'd say he is the guy I want to really take a step of all the borderline guys. Loved him since he was drafted.

while we gave up 34 shots, it didnt seem like there were too many top quality chances, and the ones the rangers got schneider stopped

schneider had a great game in net, but tbh i was a little worried when he went behind the net and playing the puck

larsson was clearly our best dman out there, looked good in all areas, hopefully its a sign to come

was pleased with how gelinas played not just his goal (we need that shot from the point) but his d end play was good too

if teddy keeps it up then he will be in the line up come october 3rd, and it makes brunner an interesting situation, maybe tedenby will keep his game up to try to keep his spot and not have brunner take it

excited to see what merrill can do in the next game (assuming he plays)

I thought Gelinas was very good too. Wasn't very impressed by Urbom though.

Not sure what Urbom did wrong. He had an assist and played well defensively. Thought he was one of the better D men for sure.

-Schneider's save on Richards was smexy. He played well all game.

-Glad that Ted scored, hopefully he plays well in a few pre-season games so we can trade him in a package (along with Josefson, Urbom, and a vet winger like Zubrus) for a top 3 forward.

-Gelinas, beauty of a shot. Hope to see him on the main roster soon.

-Larsson, looked great on the PP, overall good great game, 24:54 TOI. Most by all skaters in the game.

-Harrold, Volchenkov, pooped the bed.

I thought his positioning could have been better and was a bit slow with the puck. Maybe I'm being a bit hard on him, but I was definitely more impressed with Gelinas.

I was impressed with Urbom and Gelinas play. Urbom keeps it simple and i thought he did good job moving the puck. Gelinas had pretty bad positioning on that goal so if your gonna knock urbom for his positioning you have to knock Gelinas as well. I like what both guys bring. Both big defensemen but they each bring a different element to the team. Also nice to see big guys not be completely horrendous skaters. Urbom isn't terrible he's just alright but Gelinas is a pretty strong skater.

One last thing Schnieder is a beast I know understand all the hype he has had over the last few years.

Just hope this summer or next year during the year Lou discusses an extension and doesn't wait till the summer he's becoming a UFA. But this year I won't worry about it just going to enjoy having the best goalie tandem.

I agree but at the same time I would feel more comfortable now if that where to happen then before as Vanderbeek would of been a cheap ass we now have deep pockets to fight with the big teams for free agent bidding ( not that you want to) but we can now.

Well obviously we have what seems to be a stable ownership now. It's awesome and without it I doubt we see Brunner brought in on a try-out.

Exactly I am excited about it. He could force Lou into make a trade and there isn't much point of just trading a Olesz,Teddy or Jofeson as they are still more valube to the franchise then if they where to be traded just by them self so I think if Brunner makes the team then we could see a package deal being moved for a good return. I am also Curious about Howse did he just quit hockey all together ? or wasn't happy being in the Flames organization? I had high hopes for that kid I always drafted him in NHL 11. If he has just gotten out of Calgary to start somewhere new and hasn't just completely quit hockey I think it wouldn't hurt to offer him a try out to if anything he becomes another forward prospect since we arent deep there.

i believe none of teddy, josefson, urbom and loktionov are waiver exempt. i wouldn't want to lose any of them for nothing which is why i am currently against bringing in brunner. i also hope we trade volchenkov to make room for urbom.

Yea everyone of the Rangers was miles better not sure what he was thinking... I mean it would be such a stretch for a 20 year old who had Lidstrom comparisions, taken fourth overall could ever be better then any Ranger player.

He didn't really stand out which is good when you are a defensive D man I would like to see him a few more times seeing as this was the first pre season game be nice to find out if he raises his level of play

Where he was drafted and who he is compared to doesn't mean a whole lot. Larson may be become a good player. But he hasn't proved it yet. You really think he's better than Staal and Moore?

Moore looked real good. Probably could make the argument he was the best D. Not so much for Staal.

I said he played better then them in the first pre season game of the year not that he is better then them right now... Staal is a top talent but that doesn't mean someone can't play better then him. if Matt Cooke plays a better game then Crosby does that mean he is all of a sudden better then Crosby? No. So why would it be out of the question to think Larsson was better then them in one game and a pre season game at that and why would you care if he did it's pre season dude. You guys should of won 5-1 with the roster you dressed.
