Looks good. Comparisons to Pronger aren't too crazy, at least any crazier than any other prospect-current skater comparison. His size is something to be marveled, he has good hand-eye and good skating. He's got all the tools, and if he can continuously put it all together he'll AT LEAST be a towering 3rd pairing anchor or solid 2nd pairing defensive specialist.

Akeson just made one of the nicest stick dekes I've seen in a while. Had the puck on the point on the PP, left side, defender charged at him to take away shot or pass. Akeson showed pass, and actually left the puck in its position right in front of his skates as he traced a circle around the puck with his stick around the puck and it completed fooled the defender as he bit hard on the move looking like a pass, and Akeson took one step forward and fired a quick wrister. Not a huge chance on the play as the shot was blocked away, but it was a great showing of hands and reaction by Akeson.

The rate at which he grew last season is a promising sign of how likely he is to put those pieces together. Somehow I doubt we could get a player in the same stratosphere as Pronger at #11, though.

Raffl might not be a call up. Seems there is a real good chance he makes the opening night roster on the third line.
