They need to get Ashton away from the team asap. There's no excuse for gooning it up in a scrimmage.
- Jeffmt

Yeah, he's a loser, he can't contribute offensively so he has to resort to that.

I agree. Hopefully they could find someone named Jeffmt to take his spot.

I don't know what the hell Nonis is thinking.

We lose this game tonight, the season is as good as over.

Man, this Franson holdout is killing the Leafs.

Is this for real? haha...I'm a die hard leafs fan but this is the type of bull frank sky is falling leaf fan that I have a great deal of dislike for. One moment they are complaining they pay a player too much for too much term and then when the Leafs Brass play hardball (rightfully so mind you) they complain that they haven't got a deal don yet. I encourage all leafs fans to remain under your rock. We can't have it both ways. Franson is only hurting himself. Leafs are finally enjoying some depth at the defence position. One player will not and can not deter from that.

Listen bud, in order of the depth chart, in other words #1Dman, #2,#3#4, etc. You get the point.

There's nothing that Ristolainen and Zadorov can't do.

Right now, they are proving that they were the best D in the 2013 NHL Draft. Seth Jone (1st overall D taken) and Darnell Nurse (second overall D taken) have not provided the immediate return on investment that Risto (3rd overall D taken) and Zadorv have.

I still cannot figure out why we resigned Gunnarsson. I understand he's a decent defenseman, but honestly, he doesn't fit into the team currently, and quite frankly...he's taking up cap space we should have used for Franson instead. We could have atleast traded his rights for a 2nd. He's not a stay at home defenseman, and I don't know why fans and media keep labeling him that way.

Well if he doesn't end up being needed he can be traded. Depth is not a bad thing in a long season and he has been good paired with Dion.

those 2 pairings you can have either way...

If Ranger is a good dependable D then you need him against the other teams 2nd line...Franson / Fraser were GREAT as 3rd pairing and Franson can jump up and play 1pp or 2pp

Fraser is a turtle out there...can't be lined up against the #2 lines on some teams...not all obviously...not every team is Pitts and can put Malkin out on their 2nd line...
