Smyth will end up hurting the Oilers

I'm watching a movie on Netflix called "Would You Rather"... It's low budget, but decent so far. Ricky from the Trailer Park Boys is on it, and there's also a Shawn Horcoff look-alike.

I just watched the new star trek movie this afternoon. It was alright, and I have never been a fan of the show. Watched 'This is the end' last night and that was pretty damn funny. Worth a watch.

Didn't see the latest one, but I saw the 1st and enjoyed it.

Never saw "This is the End" but I saw "The World's End"... It had its moments, but I wouldn't recommend paying to see it. Insidious 2 on Monday

I have the worlds end downloaded. I'll probably watch it tomorrow. I have never really liked horror movies, they usually don't hold my attention and seem really cheesy, especially sequels. Ever since the Blair witch project, first movie I ever walked out of

It was pretty funny. Michael Cera and Danny McBride were awesome in it.
Also 'We are the Millers' was pretty good as well, could have been better, but worth a watch.

Next to porn, horror movies are my favorite. I saw The Conjuring a while back and thought it was awesome.

I think my biggest issue is that if a movie is remotely successful they make 3 more that are terrible. I know it goes for all genres but it seems way worse with horrors.
That and so many seem so similar or have stupid names like Mama.

There's definitely a lot of recycled garbage in the horror genre, but I feel that horrors are still the most fun of all genres.

More of a classics fan then a new release guy ( unlike you (frank)s ,I'm a distinguished Gentleman, full of class and sophistication).
So this week I watched 3/5 of the Planet of the Apes box set. Watching the Hatfield and McCoy miniseries as well.awesome.

Cloutier slams Hockeybuzz...

Dear Edmonton Oilers,

Yep, it's me. THAT guy. The guy who blogged complete nonsense on Hockeybuzz for over four years. Hockeybuzz: The website equivalency of "Whose Line is it Anyway?", where everything is made up and the points don't matter. But I digress.

So uh some thoughts on last night's games that I flipped back and forth between.

We actually have a nice group of quick defensemen with good puck handling skills which is nice after having to watch guys like Peckham, Fistric, and Barker over the years. Ference was better than I expected, Grebeshkov was mostly bad but looked good in spurts, and Larsen had some awful giveaways but also moved the puck out of danger a few times.

Perron was impressive even though I only caught like four of his shifts.

Omark looked quite good. Won his fair share of battles.

By my eyes, Nurse was better at moving the puck than actually defending, which was in a way encouraging in that he appears he's quite a bit more than the "big nasty shutdown guy" he's mostly portrayed to be.

Hall, Hemsky and Yakupov all looked good. Yak's stick looks too long though. Hemsky showed some defensive acumen, and Hall at centre seemed to work at least for this game.

Musil is pretty slow but actually showed some good niftiness with the puck that I didn't think he had. Davidson, Marincin, and Fedun all generally played well.

Gordon I didn't notice much but that's not a bad thing. Joensuu kind of lumbers out there but was actually pretty effective. Lander looks like he's moderately improved his game in some areas.

The people that think Hall was bad at C are the same people that think Dubey is a bad goalie after seeing him let in a weak goal. You see what you want to see

Hall actually had a fine game.

A)He scored
B)65% in the faceoff dot
C)First game playing C
D)Played pretty well positionally and made some great defensive plays throughout the game

Cloutier is trashing the only site that'd hire the guy??

I think he only got to write one blog for the hockey writers site before getting kicked. It's like trashing the only school you can get in to. You're just making fun of yourself even more
