I STILL hear people talking about when Briere and Drury left. And when you trade players, their salary goes to the other team too. What are you gonna do with all the cap space when theres no free agents worth spending on? You need to trade, in order to get anything of value in return. They need to start modeling their decisions more after teams with proven sucess and strong franchises (Detroit, Chicago)

I still don't understand whats happening.

If Ott were to be named captain, he would have to change the way he plays the game. He won't be able to go around blowing people kisses, or licking faces. I want Steve Ott to do what he does best. Get under the other team's skin. Give him an A at most. I would roll 3 A's for the time being until somebody proves they are worthy for captaincy.

Especially knowing that if we trade them for picks and prospects we will have an even deeper prospect pool and have a ton cap room.

I don't know how many players would want to sign here but we would at least have the means. Next year's UFAs should be better than this year's.

Assuming we get at least a 1st for Vanek and a 2nd Miller, we could go into the draft with another two 1st round picks and four (I think) 2nd round picks. Adding that to an already top 5 prospect pool would be great for the rebuild.

Not to mention the picks are assets. We can use them to move up in the draft, trade for roster players or just add to our prospect depth.

I honestly don't think anyone on the current roster is right now....most likely why Rolston is waiting until the end of camp to get some semblance of an idea of who it's going to be....because no one currently stands out.

Ok, here's the deal... NHL14 is awesome. Best one by far. We all know that come black friday they both will probably be on sale for half off ($30)...

So, you have to ask yourself, which one can you wait for. Or can you wait for both? I chose to get NHL and wait on GTA, which IMO was the best decision I could've made.
