Explain it? He said it in a media scrum. Asked how he has liked being in Raleigh last 3 weeks. Said he liked the weather, the town. Someone said, better than Buffalo? He said, "Everything is better than Buffalo. Nah, it's a nice place."

I have travelled the world in my former career as a entertainment industry tour Manager and you are bang on . I chose to live here for those very reasons. Now I own a business that is internet sales and wholesale and I still chose to live here.
I took a lot of grief in the music business from where I chose to live . My partner is in Los Angeles and still bugs me to move out there . He recently came here to stay with me and go to meetings in Toronto and Rochester with me . When he left he told me now he gets it now . Why I like it here so much .

Good point and if that's the case Darcy has done nothing to change that locker room this offseason. Ryan Miller is who/what comes to mind when thinking what may be wrong in that locker room

i honestly believe darcy is the worst gm in the game. apologists are quick to give him credit for picking up a first for gaustad, the truth is gaustad should have been moved for a second or a third the minute that lucic ro sham bo'd miller back in november of 2011. the team went into a tailspin for months- too many little guys and soft guys that knew nobody had their back. they proceeded to sort of right the ship and just miss the playoffs. you dont give up a kick at the can for a mid to late first rounder, but its not about winning, its about value. miller is still here because he wants "value". we need an infusion of elite talent and real hockey players on this roster. miller and vanek are 100% capable of getting us just enough points this year to land us the 8th overall again- just out of the elite range. its maddening, and i wont even speculate if the problem is ryan miller is brooding around the locker room like a goth kid with painted black fingernails.

I will take over traffic jams at all times , Wildfires , mudslides , tornadoes , hurricanes. I could go on . Snow does not bother me . I grew up in Canada . It snows - we all get out our snowblowers and the plows hit the streets . Fact is the last few winters here have been nothing . I used the snowblower 3 times last year.

The 4 seasons are great , Like I said I grew up in Canada . I would miss winter . No winter = no hockey as a kid - no frozen pond to play shinny on all day. My first organized hockey was played on an outdoor rink in Northern Ontario, town did not get an arena till I was in Pee Wee.
