You'd have to far overpay a back-up goalie if its going to be Brodeur when you can get under $1M for one of the kids. Then again, management might be torn since Marty would be the only star on the team.
Marty has to know that he'll have a job where and whenever he wants with the Devils organization when he retires... coaching, in the booth, management. But if he chooses the ice, it'll probably get done.

In the booth sure he would be good. As for a coach or management I doubt it. Just because he was a good player doesn't mean he can do/handle either of those. Look at Gretzky
