Trading Coburn to Edmonton for a 2nd and a prospect. Alt's a full time NHLer by the end of the Calendar year.

Oh, Seravalli, when did they fire Holmgren & Hextall and replace them with Waddell & Howson?

I got a few chuckles back reading last night while attending to our 2-month old. I only had time to read. Not enough time to form cohesive thoughts & respond.
- Flyskippy

Cohesive thoughts are over rated. Tens of thousands of HB pages prove that out.

Coburn's an easier move and his name has been coming up in Edmonton since May. Just yesterday he was linked to Florida and Edmonton. They're saying Holmgren's expected return is currently too high for those teams to bite but that as camp comes to a close he might be forced to use that option to get cap compliant.

We've wasted a hells a load of our time and brain power. If we had just pooled that time and used it to do something remarkable with our lives, think what we could have accomplished... like a life sized legos Tower of Orthanc.

Psh, Alt's an injury case and will inhabit the LTIR forever. Morin will be on the first pair by October.

I already had Morin on the team.

Timmonen - Schenn
Grossman - Streit
Alt - Morin
Gustafsson

Coburn to Edm
Mezaros to FLA

Done Deal!

I am fine with the Cleary signing for one reason being that these young kids you may bring up this year will play on the 4th line, and likely no power play or penalty killing roles limiting there ice time to likely under 10 mins a game..They play in the AHL or back to their junior teams will allow them to develop and season for 1 more year with more ice time and maybe some PP and PK situations which will help them in the future for themselves and the Flyers.

1) Happy birthday, Bill! Great month to be born in.

2) I am thankful that Cleary's knees will overshadow Meszaros' death watch.

3) I'm puzzled how Max Talbot's leg injury and being over a year and a half older than Meszaros does not put him in the "Oh noes damaged goods!" talk. No one's concerned about Talbot losing foot speed or his PK ability being affected? I thought this is Worrydelphia?

4) SQUIRREL! *runs into a brick wall*

No, he won't be forced to make ANY trade to get cap compliant.

Waive Rosehill & Gervais, and assign them and one of Couturier or Brayden Schenn to the AHL. LTIR Pronger and Bourdon, recall Rosehill & Schenn or Couturier(whichever was sent down) 24 hours later and you have cap compliance and $2.68mm in LTIR money to waste on bringing back Jiri Latal, Paul Healey or whichever other former Flyers people are pissed they let go

All the Flyers pretty much have to do is play a paper shell game, and use LTIR. Only downside is they won't bank any Cap space, and if Schenn or Couturier explode. Risk of Cap penalties towards next Season.
