I think their present Cap issues outweigh that - GM's live for today. He's got about 2.9 to work with right now. Franson is cheaper AAV on a 1 year than on a 2 year.

I understand Burkie wanted to retain his asset after giving up a 2nd round pick. And I don't mind Liles as a player at all but that 3.875 cap hit is (frank)ing everything up and his stock has dropped substanitally after that concussion.

Don't think anyone wants Liles on a 3 year deal at that number.

I was a huge Schenn fan, they turned him into JVR. As long as the asset we get back is something we need, I have no issues with him being moved whatsoever---but if he is moved, we better extend Dion.
