Still have to find a taker. That won't be easy given Meszaros' cap hit/salary situation, combined with nobody being sure if he's healthy enough to handle being a top 4 defenseman at this point of his career.

I really can't see anybody taking Meszaros until he's got some regular season minutes under his belt.

It's tough reading the overjoyed reactions of so many Wings fans to the news that Cleary won't be on their team anymore. They sound just like us when Briere was finally bought out.

A three year contract for a 34 year old player whose knees are so bad he struggles to get up off the ice...

- Feanor

And those same Wings fans would defend him if he was still on the team. Fans of a players old team is pretty much the worst source you could for a player.

where do you read this, besides that one semitroll guy we had in here?

this is all i saw in the wings blog:

JUST IN

Cleary is signing a 3-year deal with the Philadelphia Flyers. Has a NTC. Looks like he will get 2.75 mil per year.

Thanks for all you did for Detroit. Been a fun ride, but it's time to move on with all our young guns earning ice time.

Glad he's moving on... Flyers fans think he will be on the third or 4th line. Which is where he belongs. NOT on the our second line where Babcock had him. Still wish the Wings had been able to bring Brunner back at a reasonable price. Last I heard he's still unsigned.
