I can't remember where it was but in 1993 I was driving to Detroit back before it became the poop and pisshole that it is now and on the road I stopped at McDonald's.

now get this: they'd give you a burger plain and there was a salad bar like setup where you could put YOUR OWN TOPPINGS.

Not sure if it was some experimental program they were running kind of like the Mickey D version of Area 51 but it stayed with me to this day.

I went to the new Second Cup. Asked for a cup of their best coffee. Took 1 sip then chucked it. Tasted like hot water filtered thru weirdoh's underwear.
