Splitting the difference that bobo says (2.8 vs 3.5) puts kadri at about 3.15mil.

I'm usually crazy busy with work and related travel Sept - Oct, so I just keep an eye out for a used copy, by November there's usually quite a few out there on eBay/Kajiji. I've paid $20 or less the past few years and had a PS3 version by mid-Nov. Maybe I got lucky but last year a got NHL13 late October for $20, local Toronto pickup and nothing had been activated on-line.

As much as I like to tinker with my own lines, that also lets the roster/line updates settle down by then as well. ie Kadri, Franson, Raymond.... Liles.

I can't wait more than another day or two to get the game

Dreger said kadri will get done soon. Said 2 yrs around 3, Raymond will probably get 650-700k and franson gets 2 mil x 2 yrs.

this makes perfect sense.

completely fair for all three

2.75-3M is where Kadri would end up....Reeeeally doubt he signs for more than $6M for 2 years.

I was just throwing it out there for discussion...there are several teams who are very tight against the cap and will run into problems down the road as the season progresses....Calgary has 13.5M right now with their entire roster signed...they could help a few teams out for compensation such as Colborne for taking on Liles type of deals...especially with Burke there now...only problem is the Flames could only really afford to give away lower draft picks or prospects. So..might not be much interest to the Leafs, really.

$2.875 Kadri
$3.25 Franson
$750k Raymond

with $4.8M remaining it leaves the Leafs around 2M over the cap(which is fine until regular season starts).

If they could find a way to move 2M of Liles' salary for draft picks/prospects, it could work quite nicely, actually.

I just dont think it's right to take a stand like this against Franson, but give Gunnar a free pass. I don't think Gunnar has done more to have earned the right to bypass the school of hard knocks, while Franson who had a better year is being asked to take less.

So, what are the Flames doing with all of the extra money they have.

gunnar: 1st pairing

franson: 3rd pairing

enough said.

a d-man that is mediocre in his own end and gets some high point totals cause he has a nice quick shot is not worth that much.. plain and simple.. typical toronto overhype.
