longterm he deserves about 4M, but longterm shouldnt even be considered. 4-5 years would be a sick deal, if we can get him for a steal for 3.5M around 4-5 years would be nice. If he signs a 1 year probably 2-2.5M would work. For a bridge deal of 2 years probably 3M per

oh.. everything i have said today was based on the notion of a bridge contract.. long term.. yes.. he should get a bit more.. but for a one or two year bridge.. just nice n cheap.. prove your consistency is here to stay and then rake in the big bucks a year or two from now

false.

They would have 500k or so loft - they get 787k relief sending Holzer down, cause he's the 8th dman.

Still have 1D and 1F healthy scratch each game, with 500k. Sending Trevor Smith down saves another 600k

Taken into consideration. Point is that Nonis can't budge off current offer to Kadri and Franson is really going to have to take far less than he is asking for Like 40 % less.

- Mapleleafs_91

i like liles.. and i hope nonis instructs carlyle to play him every game so he can find his groove and be traded.

If he regains form and gets good, I wonder what we could get for him + Franson at the deadline.

and if he proves he is slow and fragile, Leafs are stuck with him for 3 more years or they buy him out.

yee he actually played half decent Carlyle should take notes, how do the habs win against boston? Small midgets and speedy guys. We didnt need to have fraser or koskta(ahl) or obyrne playing. Orr is a heavy guy but gotta love him Least hes not on defense

He won't. This'll be his career year. After all, Bozak is on the team. Everybody has career years with Bozak.

Oh man if Nonis could just dump Liles and get Kadri, Franson and Raymond on board that'd be soooo awesome!

i really think if he doesnt get benched every other game he'll become a 40P d-man again

hell he had 11P in 32 games.. and was never really given a chance to find his groove and given any decent minutes. that would of worked out to be damn near a 30P season over 82 games

if thats his poopty season i can live with that.

Vegas has advised the League that in this eventuality, they will no longer take bets for the Leafs winning the cup as this would bankrupt Vegas next June.

that would be no change from his current status.. although slow he is not.. he is still a good skater.. he was just a bit timid.

its one of those things where your coach just has to play and play and play you til you get it out of your system

at least give him his damn shot. everyone deserves an honest chance to return from an injury. i dont feel he has gotten that chance yet.

I think you're right. I wouldn't mind keeping him for another season to increase value, but how could we possibly afford it? If he doesn't go, who does?

Should have never signed him to that contract - Burke fleeced the Leafs - I wonder if he signed some of these guys as favours??. ( drinking buddies )

you guys are far too convinced that franson and kadri will cost too much

colborne smith and holzer will clear up nearly 2 million once they get demoted.

tho i dont expect colborne will go down.

it was too early agreed. should of waited to see how he recovered from injury first.

ah well.. i think if he's give a chance to prove himself.. and does well enough.. he could tempt a team who needs mobility on the back end to take him on

and if he does poopty.. demote him.. clear the 900K off the cap.. and go another route. big whoop.. its only money.. MLSE has plenty
