I think they both go, but honestly I'd give them both the same amount. If we end up out of the playoffs, they both go.

You see, the kids, they listen to the rap music, which gives em the brain damage, with all the hipping and the hoppin and the bippin and the boppin. So they don't know what THE JAZZ...is all about. You see jazz is like jello pudding, no non, jazz is more like Kodak film, no...y'see JAZZ...is like the new Coke, it'll be around forever.

These are my projected playoff seedings:

1. Boston
2. Pittsburgh
3. Toronto
4. Detroit
5. NYR
6. Flyers
7. NYI
8. Ottawa
------------
9. Washington
10. Columbus
11. Montreal
12. New Jersey
13. Tampa Bay
14. Carolina
15. Florida
16. Buffalo

Not a bad guess, but I see CBJ in and Toronto out. I think last year was an anomaly for them and the Kadri/Franson mess will hurt them.. Not to mention the tender controversy they decided to create..

No WSH, CBS or MTL? I find that difficult to swallow.

MTL was the second best team in the Conference last season. What happened to them?

- mayorofangrytown

Columbus maybe. The others, nope.

I don't think they get the whole season. I think Laviolette goes before Christmas if this comes out looking ugly.

My head says the playoffs are a possibility but my heart says this is a big friggin' mess and it hasn't been fixed.

Toronto will not be 3rd in a 82 game season. The D is average at best when healthy and alot of their success was do to a shorten season with guys like JVR Kadri having hot streaks.

I can see them out. They were the 2nd best team in half a season and got schooled first round by Ott. I actually think the Flyers would have made it in a full season last year.

When Couturier was struggling mightily last year didn't you want Laviolette to play him through it?
- mayorofangrytown

Yes, because Couturier can handle it. The trouble was, every time he made a mistake, Laviolette limited his chances in an offensive role. Get a kid playing scared to make a mistake and it helps nobody.

But when you ask veteran stay at home defensemen to start lugging pucks up ice, you're asking guys to play to their weaknesses, not their strengths

Few nice plays. Looked rushed a few times. Like a 9.6

I think Bernier makes a big difference for them. Talks of them moving Phaneuf could be addition by subtraction.

He's a good dman, but a poor leader. He's not the right man for the captaincy.

I wouldnt say BIG difference. Reimer and their goal keeping was pretty good for the reg season. they are one injury away down the middle to having one of the worst Cs in the league

He's never been able to eliminate the whole big hit attempt at the wrong time leading to an odd man rush type of thing.
