According to Forbes, 7 of the top 10 teams in the NHL are American, when it comes to valuation, or revenue.

US networks dont give a flying (frank) about canadian franchises..

Canadian networks have a similar opinion of American ones, that's why there should be an all Canadian division. Sell the TV rights to the Canadian division to the Canadian Networks, and the U.S divisions to the U.S networks, and you make even more TV dollars.

...so they need to set it up to give the smaller american market teams the advantage.

Yeah, it was good. Went to the Works to grab a bite and a few beers prior to the game. The game itself was much better than thursdays bout...like I said, I was dissapointed with their efforst on thursday to which you all said "its just rookies"...but they played MUCH better on Saturday. Big hits, big fights, solid offensive chances from both sides...much better hockey

so - good food, good game...but I didnt end up with the hattrick at the end of the night, so theres one thing to complain about

If the Leafs are offering PTO's, there's one I'd throw out in a heartbeat...I was playing weekend catch-up and swa some guys throwing names around pg 6-8 or so on this thread. They were wondering why he wasn't picked up - has to be the NHLPA efforts last year. He'd be a help on the blueline late in games. The Leafs are generating a big time logjam on the back-end...hopefully some of these guys are marketable in a deal to shore up some areas.

anyways, i dont disagree.. other than i would like to see a few more canadian teams and run two divisions to avoid time zone issues.

but.. we dont run the league.. and the league is focused on the american franchises.. and they use the canadian franchises to prop them up.

as for the forbes list.. yes.. i know. however.. look at it as a percentage basis

i kinda wonder if he has a legit offer to play overseas and he's waiting to see if an NHL club comes close to it.

he's not what he used to be.. but he is serviceable nonetheless

sure is ...I had a burger with a 1lb patty, layered with brisket, bacon, three types of cheeses and a big ol onion ring covered in bbq sauce and topings

...yeah, it was damn good.

Percy played well in this tournament, but for me there is something missing. I'm not sure what it is that makes me think he's going to be a long shot to make the NHL. I hope I'm wrong.

I agree..he skates well, moves the puck well, has a strong awareness...but wasnt overly physical out there.

Also - was Rielly hurt? I must have missed something...
