Well, in '09 he had 31g 29a 60pts +10 in 72 games, but I'm sure that was just a typo on your part. Or, more likely, you trying to pass '09 off as only '08.

He's a Leafs insider. Probably Dreger and just as accurate.

Philly just got through with Bryzgalov and his albatross, do you really think they want to chance having another one? No offense meant to Lu as he's still a great starter, but Philly's system is a completely different ballgame than Vancouver's or even Florida's. He would get shelled the same way every other goalie would.

I wouldn't count Steve Mason out quite yet as he impressed late last season (albeit in a small sample). Emery is also a solid 1B goalie that could probably hold the line at least as well as Boucher and Leighton did in 2010.

I could see maybe one of Schenn or Cooter going over, but no way you're getting both regardless of the deal. I also can't see them having significant interest in Kesler after signing Lecavailer this off-season.

Bryz's problem wasn't his contract though, it was that he was a worse player than he was a teammate, and he sucked at both. Philly would have had no problem with his contract if he could stop the puck, which Luongo can.

Higgins > Booth (cheaper too)

Ridiculous. When healthy Booth is a much better player than Higgins.

Most teams have 2 d men on the ice per shift. Including the oilers even though its hard to know by watching
- Bieksa#3

Whoa, whoa, whoa... the Oilers were actually playing 2 D at a time last year???

They were...no doubt. But Fedorov was better. Datsyuk...before there was a Datsyuk.
- djamon

Fedorov's peak was higher, but Datsyuk's been more consistent for longer.

If you're just comparing the quality of player their salary is irrelevant. That is a conversation about value, not who's a better player.

I agree. That and the fact that the Olympics are coming is the best thing that could happen to the Canucks. It's the carrot at the end of the stick to get the best out of him.
- djamon

If he lights it up and is a top 5 goalie this season they could probably trade him.

My opinion in Booth is a third line LWer on the Nucks. IMO Higgins is the better player for that position and at his salary. That's my thoughts.

Fedorov. I think it was 141 pts and he was the best defensive player in the game. I expected so much more from him. Can't remember what year......1994 maybe?

fedorov played in 1248 games, Bure 702, if Bure was able to play more games, IMO, you would think differently.
