EJ had a very JP Day. 150 isn't going to cut it.
- RynoBull

Except he didn't go 7-22 like Losman would have.
This game is on Spiller and the coaching staff. He also had a 25 yard completion to woods that was called back

That's what stuck out to me too. We did the same thing with EJ, with did with J.P., keep the plan simple, don't ask a lot of him, hope we accidentally win. I'm already questioning Doug Marone's approach.

All in all I liked what I saw from the kids. EJ looked better than decent but not good yet. Yes Stevie should have caught that but if the pass is a foot higher its an easy catch. The play calling in the first quarter was so conservative. Robert Woods is a legit threat with Stevie on the other side. The penalties were awful and killed the momentum that we built up. I have no problem with them going no huddle. New England had all 3 of their timeouts so we needed to score basically to put the game away. We had a coach that wanted to go for the win. It didn't work this time.

The only real issue I have with any of the officiating was on New England's second to last drive on third down Mario was held right in front of the official which would have been a sack and ended the drive. But Mario is terrible against the run. I think our linebackers played decent and Justin Rogers is god awful. Sure he had a pick but he was burned time and time again. I can't wait for Gilmore to get back. There are a lot of good things to build on and some easy fixes (the penalties) that will make us more competitive.

I think you are looking at the 2015-2016 AFC East Champs in the making.

I have no problem with the no huddle. I do have an issue with the play calling. Very conservative.

They were conservative with Manuel and he completed a lot of the short pAsses. Losman sucked at the easy throws but could hit the home run every once and a while

JP's first game was better/same that EJ's first game..... and he won against Houston. It was very remenicent of that era of football, except they were faster at going three and out.

I'm not saying EJ is JP, but the play calling sure seemed like it. Thank God for the Defense. or it woudl have been 50-14

they had 1/2 the secondary out
the backup pats rb gets 100 yards
and we are still ahead with 10 seconds left in the game

look at where this team was a few years ago, vs today and I am ok with the direction

at least the tackling was descent for a change and there was pressure on brady

next 6 games are
home to panthers
at jets
home to baltimore
at cleveland
home cincy
at miami

if they go 3 and 3 in those games then we are credible
honestly they could go 5-1 with those games if they run the ball

EJ did throw deep once, it should have been intercepted. I guess he doesn't have the arm to throw a 40 yarder.

I expected them to open it up a bit more on offense, esp to start the game

seems EJ is better running the spread 2 minute offense

At first I thought the preseason they were playing it safe and not showing much but the play call yesterday was exactly like the first 2 pre season games

let him run the team like it's a two minute drill all the time if that is how they are going to play it

That was a lame win over a lame team though. I don't think many Bills fans were reminiscing about that opener in the parking lot yesterday.

Big time receivers make that catch, especially if they're going to make claims such as "there isn't a player in the league that can cover me".

Yesterday was all about execution, or lack thereof. The playcalling/gameplan was more than good enough to win that game.

I will agree with that Homie........ Also, these people comparing Manuel to Losman? How unrealistic is that? Losman was as dumb as they come....... Manuel was composed and he was restricted by a conservative game plan. Anyone who knows football could see that.....

Bills Def wont be in one for a few years. Hockey is much much easier to get into the playoffs.

Florida can be the American version of Edmonton when they show they can be us regularly then ill buy into it. Yes its a tough division but we can chip away and accumulate points. I dont fear Ottawa or Toronto really not big on Montreal either

I don't think things like that can be predicted. I think there is enough parity in the NHL where things aren't in stone. However the sad truth is Buffalo is just schedule filler for its repective leagues.

I 100% agree on this. For example did anyone know that Gallagar would have been awsome for the habs? I sure didnt, did I think Galy would be good yes but he did real well.

We are a few surpises away from a really good team. Who knows maybe Drew gets his act together and puts a whole seaosn together
