I admire Belichek and the way he prepares his team...he is always ahead of the curve (insert spygate joke here). Seriously though, notice the TE's teams are bringing in these days.

I also became a huge Brady fan when he took over for Bledsoe and won the super bowl back in 2001. Definitely one of my idols and one of the best all time.

He's in the convo......i'm a little young to remember much of Montana, but loved Steve Young.

My family used to live in the bay area, still have lots of relatives there. They are my "home town" team.

It's on like donkey kong brother (duck dynasty) should be a great year for the Niners and Seahawks.

Just look at Vancouver, Anaheim, Toronto...they all improved significantly under Burke. Look at the Leaf's JFJ roster, including farm teams, then look at the Leafs system as of right now and their results last year. Why Vancouver fans are so anti-Burke when the core of their 1st place teams was Burke/Nonis I don't know. 16 of the players on Anaheim's Cup team were Burke's...also people never stop to think, sure, Burke got some real good players handed to him in Anaheim, but he also did subsequently choose to hold on to those players. Bottom line is the calls he made with the Ducks won a Cup. And really it's not like the Ducks team he inherited was the 80s Oilers or the Red Wings either.

Having seen it here in Toronto as well I can say despite his pro hockey jackass persona he is a guy who does a lot in the city and does good things for the city and is a very nice guy in person. It's a great move by Calgary, a no-brainer.

Vancouver did not "improve significantly" under Brian Burke. Did he draft the twins, yes...no-brainer! Great trades to acquire the second first round pick. He took over the Nucks in 1998/99, the previous five years they played in 53 playoff games including a 7th game Cup final. The next five years under him they played in twenty playoff games. Never made it past the second round.

He drafted Daniel, with our second overall pick-real difficult decision, Hank-great trades to acquire this pick and Ryan Kesler in one of the strongest drafts in history. Three frickin players.

Yeah but the Sedins took quite a few seasons before they were putting up MVP all-world seasons. Along with Kesler, that's the core of the team that has done so well. I don't know how you guys can say well okay I'll give him the Sedin transactions, but that's nothing. That's your two all-world elite players during your Cup runs...lol it's your Malkin and Crosby. That's Burke, that was a grand slam he hit for you guys and you hate his guts. I don't get it.

Almost everything you said was your own conjecture and directly disputed by what they were saying at the presser. I understand that it's trendy to act like we understand the business but I can say for a fact that I don't know a half of it and I doubt you do either. For now, I will believe what they said until shown otherwise.

This is a quote from Burke:

Calgary Flames ‏@NHLFlames 1h "If Jay has something he wants to do, we will talk about it and try to reach a consensus about it," says Brian Burke about player decisions.

Also he was on TV this afternoon and said that while scouting was not on his job description, that if he felt like going out to scout, he was going to go and scout.

Said the same thing about trade ideas. If he thinks of something, he would go and tell Feaster what he is thinking.

Burke has very little to do with the Canucks current success, 14 years ago he drafted a couple of great players. Good for him.

So pulling off one of the more complicated draft day trades to put the Canucks' absolute best players in place had little to do with it? Two of the best players in franchise history? It seems pretty significant to me, but okay.
