He didn't have a single point that was accurate. Seems like a very hateful clueless person.

If the Flames want to give us their first round pick for either of those guys the joke is on them. That's going to be a top 3 pick. |

Why was Burke so friggin red? |

I'm not faulting him for drafting well in the early first round. My point is that outside top 10 picks, he's got a brutal record.
Let's be honest here. The majority of top 10 picks make the NHL. You could just go with the TSN rankings and get a solid NHLer when you're picking in the top 10.
The guys from 15-30, not as much. He's had plenty of late first rounders and 2nd round picks. You'd think that, over a decade, he'd have at least a few turn out. None.
Seriously, go check it out for yourself. Hockey db has all the teams draft history. - Charliebox

I know some die hard flames fans. some since 1980 they will hate the flames immediatly! Burke is a big mouth douche perfect fit for the flames. I personally will go back to hating the flames the most( canucks had the honor for last 5 years or so) - jaredwildzee

Anyone who thinks the Kessel trade is still bad for the leafs has some serious beer goggles on, Seguin just isn't what they projected... it happens, and Hamilton will be a decent 3 man. Leafs don't make the playoffs without Kessel, Boston easily gets in and goes deep without either of them... and this is several years after the trade (immediate win was leafs gaining 30+ goals). Perhaps in the culmination of both Seguin and Hamilton's career totals, they might surpass silly Philly. Might. But even then, it's a demonstrative "W" for Burke on that one. Sorry fans of other teams who hate the Leafs, it's the way she goes. - PotvinFan
Yea because you know Hamiliton who is who is what twenty? will only be a 3 guy and seguin who is what 21? has maxed out ? you are brilliant and you add in that we have beer goggles on? you must of been dropped on your head multiple times as an infant... |

For all of the Burke haters out there, you have to give him credit for one thing. He knows how to build an organization and in time, they do become successful. It would be the best thing that could happen to the Flames. In time, he will wear out his welcome, but when he leaves, they'll be a playoff team with lots of organizational depth and development. Slag the Flames all you want over this, but it'll be the moment that this franchise turns a corner and starts moving up. - PrinceLH

I hear Caeser Milan is training Torts to behave. Fascinating, no? Maybe he can train those two female doges on your team to stand up for themselves too. |

The leafs have 1 blue chip prospect really.. not many project to be high end NHL talent...some middle of the road players... I would expect them to land somewhere 15-20 overall in the NHL for team prospects, closer to 20th.
they just need to keep drafting and developing instead of trading picks |

Didn't say they were maxed out, and neither is Phil... Hamilton won't be an elite defence-man and Seguin will take many years to mature, clearly... but by then it's 5-10 years after the trade... |

Organizational depth is probably a pretty foreign concept to Vancouver fans considering you had to trade your starting goalie just to get a prospect anyone's heard of. |

Didn't mean to diss your BBF.
Burke destroyed my team's organizational depth. Fact. Nonis was just as bad. It's taken a lot of work by the current management team to get us out of the prospect basement.
I'm not dumping on the leafs so try to adjust your (frank)ing attitude and stop being such a twit. |

Really Dougie Hamilton won't be elite? I am still confused as to how you know this already when he only just got some NHL games this year. I also hope that since you think Hamilton won't be elite (and I am not saying he will be) that you also think Reilly won't be either ? |

Says the guy with one of the worst attitudes here. Look, most GM's would quit if they woke up tomorrow with Vancouver's prospect pool. All the current management group has managed to do in Vancouver is turn an annual contender into an easy first round opponent. And they're not done yet! While I'm adjusting my attitude, I suggest you advance your hockey perspective past 2011 and see what everyone else sees. |
