AV has his style and if he gets a hate on for a player they end up in his dog house and never get out. If he wants a player moved and it doesn't happen said player just won't play.

Nice job Jimbo! Tough act to follow but I will try.

I agree that the Rangers are unlikely to make any major trades. Definitely could look to add a competent RH shot on the back end.

That was rough. Higgins didn't help himself because the guy couldn't score to save his life.

It seems if you play for the Canucks you automatically are handed a NTC?

4 YEARS is a long time, but man, I remember the Gomez trade like yesterday. Was just happy to get rid of Scotty contract, but was very happy to get what I thought was a very nice 2nd line wing in Higgins, man the guy was awful! The icing on that cake of course was we turned him into Prust & oh yea, Mac Truck was in that Gomex trade, wasn't he?

Here is what I remember at Higgins. He looked like a relatively effective player on the ice in that he was noticeable, but he couldn't hit the ocean if he was standing on a pier. Just couldn't score at all.

He grew up not far from my home town in Long island, seemed like a good guy, but Torts got down on him quick & like you said, he didn't produce, case closed.

I know the Higgins family very well through local Long Island hockey. They are awesome people and Chris and his brother, Kevin are real nice guys. Great hockey family. Chris has always been a huge canadiens fan and lived out his dream playing for them. That might explain why he played better for them than with the NYR.

Deer Park Roller early 90s, in the parking lot! Now there's a beautiful rink w boards, stands, the works. Back then it was a dump next to the old DP railroad station.

I was down to Chelsea and Arsenal, and went with Chelsea, mostly because I have a few friends and neighbors that are Chelsea fans, and I think there is much higher probability that I stay interested in that scenario. Plus, I like the idea of players kicking the crap out of ball boys.

shoulda chose arsenal

just got the best playmaker in the world (for once they finally decided to spend) so to hope for a top 4 finish isn't too irrational.

You ever read the book Fever Pitch? It is written by an author, who is also an obsessive Arsenal fan, and it tells his story about fandom, and about how his love of Arsenal pretty much ran his life. Interesting story, and pretty much applies, in some way, to all crazy sports fans.
