Not to split hairs here but really what Carl's company does mostly is renovates old property. His company really hasn't build anything new in the city. Sure in Ellicottville, West Seneca and Williamsville he has built new hotels but nothing near the size of that is being done at the harbor center.

He does have a daughter with a mistress while being married but honestly could care less if he is or isn't a scum bag. Personally I like how he is who he is no matter what. He has his opinion and sticks to it.

The Steel mill at its peak employed 75,000 people with good paying jobs to support a family. The hotel might have 7 good paying jobs and the rest are "knock knock, Housekeeping!". I mean its cool, but it doesn't mean the Sabres aren't a laughing stock of the league, because the are.
