Personally, I don't equate tweets with reporting...especially the type that Bob Mac posted yesterday. If there is a TSN report on their site, or a video clip of someone saying these things, that is a different story (there might be, I didn't look)...otherwise there is the possibility that these messages are being thrown out there to create a little bit of media/public pressure on the player. Paint them as a young greedy player in the public's eyes, might push them to cave a bit.

I won't argue that, but I thought Bob McKenzie was beyond needing sources. I;m sure his 30 years in the business meant that he doesn't need to coddle his sources or keep them happy. Besides, what he says is infallible, and so obviously the truth, of course he'd never slant his viewpoint to keep his sources happy or report what they want him to report for future favours. I mean it's obvious right? All the fans here calling Kadri selfish or an idiot, or greedy for asking for 5.5M, they believe 100% that McKenzie is only reporting the facts.

Bingo, and my issue is how that tweet sets off a firestorm in here saying "I can't believe that greedy bastard Kadri is asking for that much." It's one thing to say the two sides are far apart, it's another to spew out numbers with nothing to back it up.

My favourite a few weeks back is at a golf tournament where Kadri gives his interview, seems calm, doesn't say anything other than no new progress, then the headline on the interview is Kadri is pretty much pissed......excuse the paraphrasing. Anyways, most of you think I'm wrong, that's fine. I'll let it go.

That's not what this was. He was reporting what he'd heard. Nothing else. He wasn't the only one who had heard it either. Of course it could be BS from a Leaf source, but he it's not his job to decide what's relevant...that's our job.
