Look at Reims at 116 (Bernier 150) interesting stuff. Drams! |

How is that unprofessional? 20 players is all you need to roll 12 forwards, 6 D and 2 goalie. Of a guy gets hurt, he gets replaced. - systemtool
What if 4 or 5 guys get hurt?

Calling one of the most respected hockey journalists in the world 'bobo' isn't a good strategy IMO. - robin_steele264
Maybe he does remind you of Bobo the clown........for those that are old, he was a punching bag clown that always bounced back up after hitting him, thanks to a lead weight on his bottom.......Yeah, he does look like Bobo the clown!

Then they get replaced with Marlies. Or we count unicorns and punch buggies and pretend like this is a big deal. |

Yup, would look retarted. The 3 screw ups - and we gots to be honost here - are Giving Bernier - a backup - more money than your proven starter, buying out Komi with a compliance, and 3, not using the 2nd compliance on Liles after regular Komi buyout. Nonis isn't a moron but he pooped the bed on his cap for sure. We all want the perfect glistening GM to brag about but they make mistakes. - aminnes
#3 makes out cap worse now, so it's a good thing nonis isn't taking your lead. |

He needs to keep his mouth shut and let it play out. - LeftCoaster
Why should he shut up? So they can continue putting words in his mouth and making him look bad? Or literally rewriting what he says in their headlines? And yes, I know Bob's a respected sports journalist, but he's in the wrong here and he knows it. |

Realistically, I would not be shocked if both sit. Franson was treated like crap by Wilson, and essentially lost roughly a years worth of games being fooled with by a dumb coach, Kadri got called out by the club constantly in the media and many thought he should have been given a bigger chance. Not siding here, but wouldn't at all be shocked to see both players hold off and/or request a trade. |

It's a very big deal for the Leafs if they do end up going into the season with both guys sitting.
I'm sure it'll get figured out though.

Um... Liles gone off cap and small amount of Komi left, it's like 2-3 million more space. Don't worry, they have lots of space, they just have to rock a 1995 size roster and Richard around with some more players |

what if a guy is hurt and misses a few games but doesn't go on IR? then what? and if a guy does go on IR, then what? you call up a guy who hasn't even practiced with the team and toss him into the lineup cold? what if there's a pregame injury and the Leafs are in Edmonton and the Marlies are in Oklahoma? just too many scenarios where they could get into trouble for it to be anything other than a last-resort short-term decision. |

you're right, he won't report lies, but he defintely benefits from pushing a gm's agenda over the players agenda. He reports what he hears, so let me ask you this. All these player he's mentioned and their so called contract demands, have any of the players come out and actually said this is how much I expect to get? Moreover, these are all supposed to be closed door negotiations right? So who's leaking the info? Am I wrong to assume it's the teams involved or the gms? It certainly isn't the agent, they can actually get in serious poop for that, especially without the permission of their client. And if the player's saying it to Bob, then why is he questioning him on twitter? So who's leaking it? Cough, the guy who's going to phone said journalist the next time he has a trade to break. "Hey Bob, spread this for me, I'll keep you in the loop trade deadline day" |

McKenzie is a reporter. he is reporting what he has heard. that's his job. he's not doing anything wrong. Kadri wants to get involved with a journalist and get all pissy, fine. not his job though, and he's out of his depth here. |

Listen, I think players are greedy bastards who suffer from a sense of entitlement, but this whole crap about "hearing so and so is asking for x amount of dollars," unless you nail down the gm or player on camera or in a quote, it's hogwash to me. It's simply selling an agenda, whether it's the gms, or the journalists.
But hey guys, we all know the Luongo trade to Toronto is done right? |

Bob seems confident enough to put it out there. He's trusted and respected for a good reason.

So you dress 11 forwards instead of 12. What, exactly, is the big deal here? The 4th line guys barely play 5-10 minutes a game. You're trying hard to make this into a bigger issue than it really is out of your disdain for the hockey club.
What if 2-3 guys get hurt during a game? Then what huh? huh? You play on, thats what. Not a big deal by any stretch. Players get called up from the AHL all the time, you're acting like this is something new and exclusive the Maple Leafs. |

So McKenzie is reporting about Kadris contract negotiation, and can say anything he wants, but how dare Kadri say something about it too. Now thats just out of line, eh?
McKenzie is reporting what he heard based on an issue Kadri would have more knowledge and information on. Just because a reporter passes on information, it doesn't mean he shouldnt own up to it if that information is wrong or inaccurate.
While I think Kadri is being a bit of a poon about all this, he still is more qualified to make comments and announcements on his negotiations than a guy not in the loop personally. |
