Calm down. This season was a better YEAR than grabos best certainly in PPG. If Kadri ends up a 50 point player meaning he has peaked at 22 thats bad, but still better than 5.5 for 50 points. Point is, it's not that bad if the talent is assessed properly.

Remember the times when Heatley would touch the puck and it would be a goal behind Toskala/Raycroft/any other goalie from right after the lockout. He went to poop.

I think people are missing the point. When Tavares signed that deal, he wasn't the same John Tavares we saw last season. Sure, the amount is high for Kadri, not it's not crazy. not with some of the contracts other young, more inferior players are getting.

TSN’s Bob McKenzie reports that Kadri is looking for a long term deal similar to the Islanders John Tavares(who was selected six picks ahead of him in the 2009 Draft), for six years at around $5.5 Million per season, whereas the Leafs are looking for a two year deal for slightly less than $3 Million per year.
