Im not discrediting Montreal's rich history at all. I know they have the most cups in the leagues history, and that they are the last Canadian team to win it all. Just saying that last year in the playoffs the Sens were better than them, the same as the Pens were clearly better than us. |

BAHAHA did you watch the games?
24 shots for the habs to 4 for the sens in the first and the habs are down 2-1 in game 1. its called a goalie stood on his head and the habs tender was shaky. that was pretty much every game...
if you think for a minute, the time the habs went to ecf riding halak was because the habs were better than the caps and pitts then you dont know hockey. the sens were the habs of 09. if anything the habs losing this year is just karma. |

A team who isn't afraid to play the physical game |
|
|
|
composure + talent = success
The most important attribute a team needs is, the ability to step it up a notch. The best example I can give is a baseball example. Dave Stewart Vs. Roger Clemens. The first time I saw Stewart pitch, as a reliever for the Dodgers, I remarked about his composure. Clemens is one of the all time greats, yet could just not beat Stewart when it mattered the most. Stewart had a lifetime record of 9-1 against Clemens.
On the flip side is this expression, "million dollar arm, ten cent head". |

listen obviously its a matter of opinion. yours is as valid as mine. i just dont understand where youre basing your breakdown of that series. hits were 191 habs to 163 sens, shots 182 habs 152 sens, f/o won 179 habs 146 sens, time on attack habs were dominant every game. either way, its like that questionable goal in game 4, you know the kicking one and the missed calls for icing etc, some people make just make bad calls - munky123
Icing call was bad. As far as the "kick in", sometimes when I watch it I say its a kick and sometimes not, that was a hard one. |

Habs fans spend more time in the past than Marty McFly - forbetterorWORSE
haha youre right, its because there IS a past to visit and compare to. also they have a pretty solid fan base to support the team, so much so that montreal didn't have to have a 60+ year hiatus from the nhl. nothing wrong with the past. |

i agree, it was a hard one to call. that said, what i didn't like was that they debated the call for 1 minute and that was it. regular season plays that are investigating a kicking motion have taken upwards of 10 mins to really investigate the play. ive aslso seen many goals waved off for less. the real bummer for me is that there's no consistency. |
