Lu's issue is not his cap hit or his play. It's the last few years of the contract.

He's gonna be an animal this year. Nobody can question his competiveness and passion for the sport. Any player or coach will tell you the same thing. Although it was a bonehead decision, he was named captain for a reason. The way he handled himself this past year is a new level of maturity and I think he's more likeable because of it.

People will say what they want but lets wait for the season and judge him on his play.
