They score 2 goals a game and they put a heavy load on Hank, not to mention they traded Gaborik, their most talented offensive player, away.
- Danformo

Gaborik is not missed, they scored more goals after he was traded, nice theory though, Nash and company will be just fine

BTW can you explain why we're over rated and please go through the lineup too, I'd love to hear this, lets just skip Nash, Stepan, Callahan, Brassard, Hagelin, Girardi, Staal and Mcdonagh

My prediction for the Isles is Nabby with a GAA north of 3 and that's where you find the 3 wood

Not everybody can be the next Keith Aucoin. Brassard scored 11 points in 13 games with the Rangers. Aucoin scored 12 in 41 games with the Islanders after being claimed.

The fact that Nash is consistent goal scorer, Gaborik is very streaky. That's not opinion, it's a fact.

Ek is right or once it won't be only about money, it will also be about how many more Rings he wants after his first this season

Gabby also came off of a shoulder surgery, his release which has always been one of the quickest wasn't so quick, maybe it's was not enough time or maybe it doesn't come back, either way with UFA's and RFA's being resigned his time as a Ranger was coming to a head, he got a great package back for him, Dorsett replaces Prust, Brassard looks more like the 7th overall pick and Moore looks like a top 4 defensman with more wheels on an already fast team

puck luck, bad reffing, unfavorable scheduling, and poor MSG ice.

Or Nash has had 8 straight 20 goals season, and Gaborik hasn't or Nash has played 8 nhl seasons of 70 plus games, Gaborik hasn't. Gaborik has better highlight reel talent, Nash is more consistent game to game. But again they can't compare to the all might $abre$

Unlike most who blame Torts for Gabby's problems last season I think in all he made him a better player, he was still going to the dirty areas and he did score 40 plus in 3 1/2 seasons, he's not one of the free agent busts

I like Gabby. I never could understand Torts asking a guy like that to stand in front of every puck that left a stick. I get that every player is on the same level, but they're really not. It's inspiring to see a star hit the ice to absorb a rocket from time to time, but when it's expected on every shot, you're just playing with fire.

I think that was over blown(like Hank wanting to leave NY and a team that is very capable of winning a Cup), his back checking was more of an issue but he became more responsible than before he got here

It seems crazy that a guy coming from an organization like Minny would be irresponsible on the defensive side of the puck.

I think I would take Quick over Henrick.
- MBFlyerfan

It is tough. They are top 5. How do you really compare them. Maybe top 3. Throw Rask in there and how do you really decide who is better when so much counts on the team in front of them. Henrick does have more pressure and less help. NYR isn't winning the cup any time in the next few decades but LA and Boston both have won it recently and could be contenders this year. LA wouldn't be a favorite but it wouldn't surprise us if they won. If NYR won, I am pretty sure that is the 10th sign of the apocalypse. Put Henrick in LA and would he be better than Quick? That is a question we don't know the answer to but one we might get more insight into at the start of next season. He won't be in LA but he might be on a better team. Put him with Vancouvers 6 dmen ahead of him and I am thinking there will be some record shutouts being set. Van only has 2 forwards but they got some dmen.
