In the real world Ehrhoff was useless. I was very grateful when he walked. - VANTEL
I have always found this sort of statement very amusing from opposing team fans that no longer have a certain player on their own roster.
Of course you were "grateful". *rolls eyes*

Yes Blizz.
Been at the Niagara Falls Airbase this year paving a parking and staging area in concrete for all the C130's .
Harris Hill Wehrle where we have one more concrete pour to finish up that project and then I will be on to the project on the Peace Bridge.
So yes , been very busy with some great projects.
Thank you for asking Blizz. |

NP I went to Niagara this summer (the Canadian side) did the whole maid of the mist thing was pretty sweet even though it wasn't my first time. I am curious though does the American side have all the crap on it like the haunted houses and what not ? |

To say Ehrhoff's back to back 50 point seasons were due in large part to the Sedins would be accurate. However, I think it would be more accurate to say that his 50 point seasons happened because the Canucks had a much more competent forward group the past couple of years than the Sabres have had since just after the 2005 lockout. Since Ehrhoff has been here, the Sabres' only forwards who could be relied to to score with any consistency were Vanek and Pominville. You could make an argument for Ennis as well, but he disappeared too many times for my liking. Regardless, even if you include Ennis in that group, they had one very good scorer who could be argued to be elite, and two okay to good ones. That doesn't get it done on any team, no matter who you have on you defense corps. Ehrhoff's "problem" has been that the from 2011 through 2013, the Sabres expected their offense to come from their defense corps. They thought that the likes of Ehrhoff, Myers, Leopold, and Sekera could provide enough offense to make up for the scoring that the forwards were going to struggle with. It was a failed strategy, and it wasn't because of the defense. You could have Letang, Karlsson, Doughty, Keith, and Seabrook, all on the same defense corps, but if the forward group was as underwhelming as the Sabres' has been over the past 2 years, your team would still struggle to score goals. And they would also struggle defensively simply because the puck possession would be so unfavorably lopsided.
There has been reference to Yost's analytical article on Ehrhoff, and how certain statistical aspects of his game matched or exceeded those of Norris Trophy candidates, and it may or may not prove his actual value. The problem I have with "advanced statistics" is that it takes certain "non-traditional" factors and assumes they are incredibly important when they could just be coincidence as well. However, Ehrhoff will always look like a failed experiment with a mediocre forward group. His game is generating offense. And you can rarely generate offense from the back end if you don't have forwards who can finish plays. |

No, not 40....come on, your hyperbole is killing me
Myers has not been better than Ehrhoff since his rookie year. Myers should be better, but as of 9/2/13 he is not and its not even close.
If the sabers are to win, Myers needs to be version of rookie Myers. If he isn't... the Sabres need to consider moving him. - RynoBull
When the Sabres made their run right before the All-star break 2 years ago this team was led by Miller, Pommer, and Myers. They were all great for the 2nd half of that season when Vanek was banged up and Ehrhoff was struggling when he first got here.
For some reason people can't acknowledge when he played really well. The issue is consistency |

Sadly no.
The American side fails in comparison to the Canadian side. |
