I understand that that is a completely fair trade, but no. Therefore ends the trade for the Sedins discussion. - bsabres716
I agree .Can't see it happening. |

I think if Ristolainen shows that he's ready right now at camp you'll see him on the second pairing. Zadorov I believe is someone who should be developed so that when he enters the NHL he'll be quite dominant. - bsabres716
Pysyk will be in the top 4 before Risto or Zadarov IMO.
Myers-Pysyk
Ehrhoff-Weber
McBain-Tallinder
Sulzer-McNabb
Ristolainen
All 9 of them will see games this year, McNabb IMO gets moved eventually. |

How about McNabb, Folingo, and a 1st for Kesler and a 3rd? |

I think if Myers and Ehrhoff aren't together on the top pair this year (which I think they will be) then pysyk is automatically pushed up to the first pair with Ehrhoff and Myers to the second with tallinder leaving the third pairing as weber and mcbain. |

I like Foligno but I think the star power would have to be higher. I see Keslers name mentioned in trades with Jamie Benn Evander Kane ilk .
I don't think the Sedins are going anywhere but a player like Kesler or Edler could be had.The return has to be right though.
I think Keslers value will go through the roof around the Olympics. |

Well when constructing that trade I kind of looked at need. Foligno a tough winger who can power himself to be in front of the net and McNabb a completely physical dman who can chip in offensively. The 1st was to sweeten the deal because it'll probably be a relatively high first even with Kesler on the sabres. |

It's not bad but it doesn't help Canucks scoring. Once we get by the Sedins our scoring thins out in a hurry. If we were to get rid our our third best point player we would need scoring back.

Fair enough. I suppose the Canucks and the Sabres are poor trading partners on all fronts because we have similar needs. |

We do have parts that we both need but what do you give in return.
Someone mentioned the Sedins with Vanek.
Edler or Kesler would be a good deal if Vanek had more years left.
Hansen and Foligino are similar players.
Miller and Lu similar in play (contract an issue.) |

What do you think of Zajac his production and developement was a little hindered because Parise missed a full year then the next year Zajac missed the full year then started slow to this past season BUt I think he is a 1b Center and is very responsible in his own end and I still think he could put up 70 points but nothing has stayed the same for him yet wether it be injuries or roster change over he has even worn an A for Canada at world cup play. I wouldnt mind swapping him for Kesler we likely add a smaller piece to make the deal work. |

Random side note, how weird would it be if the NHL adopted the transfer fee routine used in soccer.
I wonder who would be the Gareth Bale of hockey? Kovalchuk? maybe Parise? |

He will probably be this year. Like he was the year before last. Suddenly Myers career is literally 40 games long all of the sudden |

Your pairings are totally screwy....
Both Darcy & Rolston have been talking about the benefits of pairing a LH w a RH defenseman
Left Handed Guys:
Ehrhoff
Tallinder
Weber
Sulzer
McNabb
Right Handed Guys:
Myers
Ristolainen
Pysyk
McBain
Ruhwedel
*those are the 10 "NHL ready guys"
Also, in the future...
Zadarov (LH)
McCabe (LH)
Leduc (RH)

Are u assuming we can extend BOTH Miller & Vanek?
Bc if not, trading for a guy like Kesler is pointless |

No, not 40....come on, your hyperbole is killing me
Myers has not been better than Ehrhoff since his rookie year. Myers should be better, but as of 9/2/13 he is not and its not even close.
If the sabers are to win, Myers needs to be version of rookie Myers. If he isn't... the Sabres need to consider moving him. |
