When I see star players getting beaten up and he is standing there and skates away because he is afraid in a playoff game ,then he is dead to me.

When the Sedins were feeding him .Did you guys trade for the Sedins? - VANTEL
Defensively Ehrhoff is very solid. He has also still managed decent point totals while on the sabres (32 pts in 66 games and 22 pts in 47 games, that's almost .5 pts a game for a dman, which is pretty good). I understand that on most good teams he'd be a number 3 dman, but he is effective for the sabres. Also Yost wrote an interesting article about how he makes everyone on the ice better. Especially at $4 mill per year with a declining cap hit as he ages, he is an efficent dman with a good contract. Nothing to complain or diss about. |

I know that. I am a Canuck fan that is screaming for changes. I don't think Canucks are elite as some say. They are ranked between 12 - 16 in my opinion. - VANTEL
All depends. Coaching was an issue, not sure if Torts was the right choice, but a change was needed. If guys like Kassian turn out, which I personally think is still possible then the top 6 is still pretty damn good |

Maybe we should ask Miller what he thinks about teammates standing up to Lucic when they should be defending the star players. |

I think Torts will light a match for a year maybe two, but he still has the same personnel to work with. I don't see Sedins sliding to block shots. I still see them doing their cycle game.
Kesler will play the same and so will Burrows ,so what amzing changes Torts will bring will be interesting to see. |

I think he should be on the PP but not as the point shooter. He should be the set up guy and be the guy who falls back and actually plays defense if someone makes a bad pass and the penalty killers get a chance going the other way.

I tried posting a comment with a link to a Yost article and it made the entire comment box blank when I posted it. Anyone know what's up with that? |

I agree . Speed skill and toughness win playoffs. We need to improve on speed and toughness. |

Toughness is a key because you can't do what Toronto did and just get goons and think you have added toughness you need a guy like Kassian which you have someone who can be out there regularly |

Toronto was 4 minutes away from making a deep run . I like their new look.
Kassian has showed some brilliance. When he wants to play he controls the flow. His problem is consistency |
