Again? Sorry...but Miller has never been an elite goalie. He has one year that could go as an argument to putting him in that status (09-10). Elite status should be reserved for at most the top 10%...in which Miller has never been.

NHL starter? Absolutely. Elite NHL goaltender...never in his life.

Whens the last time Ryan Miller has ever had a quality defensive team in front of him? Never. Even Strength Save Percentage, always above league average. On a poopty defensive team.

Remind me what happened to Pekka Rinne when Ryan Suter left this year. Remind me what happened to Anders Lindback when he left the Nashville Predators system.

I seriously hope you dont think Rinne is an elite NHL goalie.

Rinne played with a hip injury for at least half of this last year. He has still yet to get on the ice.

Not sure what his ES% was last year, but before that he was 3rd, 9th, and 5th best in the league in that stat.

Lindback didn't have stats like Rinne does...not even close. Making that comparison is dumb. Lindback was never ready to take a fulltime status.

I am not saying Rinne is elite neccessarily, but feel free to ask a Western Conference opponent if they felt that Rinne is only successful because of the system. Truth is, Rinne has been the Predators MVP for the last 3 of 4 years, not Weber or Suter.

Rinne does have a good EVS%, he actually is like Miller in that hes consistently above league average. The difference has been the quality of team in front of them. Miller has never had 2 all star defensemen as a top pairing playing in front of him. Let alone even 1 of them.

Nashville runs a tight system. They are consistently top 10 in fewest shots per game, and consistently top 10 in blocked shots. Thats a rare combination. To be giving up some of the fewest shots, yet also blocking some of the most. Usually teams who give up a lot of shots will also have a higher amount of blocked shots.

I dont think Rinne would look half as good as he does in NSH on a team like Buffalo.
