Honestly, McDavid is the best prospect I have ever seen. Crosby included. His offense ability is off the charts. I have seen him live quite a few times. Think Crosby ability with Datsyuk eye poppng moves.

Franking Kessel is a stud. I pray NJ would have a shot at this kid I would totally be ok with finishing dead last in a year to get this kid. I know there hasnt been many but Pitt got 2 generational talents in Lemieux and Crosby I would love for the Devils to get the next one in McDavid along with 29 other teams

I think it is safe to say it would be nice to see both Alberta Teams peak at the SAME time for 3 or 4 years of amazing BOA's again.

This is gonna be an exciting - albeit crappy - team to watch over the next few seasons.

Nylander? Unless we don't get top two I doubt they'd take him. If Reinhart and Ekblad are on the table they should definitely go first. For the flames needs I'd take Ekblad personally. Especially if they're awful the next year as well.

But does Calgary really need another Centre (being thats the position Reinhart actually plays). After losing Jay Bouw Calgary is going to need another d-man that is top line material. Brodie, Wotherspoon, Sielof and them are great but not nearly the talent that Ekblad seems to be. My opinion may change throughout the year but as of now i'd take Ekblad over Reinhart.

I see the Flames about where the Oilers were 4 years ago. A steep hill to over come. Hopefully their management go about it a little smarter than KLowe and Tambo did in Oilerville. I think both teams need to fire their Presidents. King and Lowe are both embarrassments. Oilers should finally be a team that can flirt with the playoffs this season. But they'll likely under achieve and suffer multiple injuries that have them flirting with the Flames this season because they refuse to address their need for some size.

I have the same concerns if the Oil don't obtain size and a Beast or 2 to protect the kids to make opponents think twice before taking liberties with our kids. They really need a top 6 guy who can skate and contribute like Burns.

a team can never have too many centers

upside is reinhart is RH. so could play RW.

I don't disagree they need D. But seiloff, wotherspoon, brodie are a good start.

If they are to get a player off the market I would prefer then to pay for a D because they take longer to develop.

Adding a solid UFA to seiloff/wotherspoon/brodie in a few years is a good core. And Gio I think might still be around at that point.

Adding in big bodies like green, kanzig, obrien at 5 or 6. its a good start.

I think thats the only way flames will steal the odd game this year. work ethic and grinders.

im not banking on it but if jones and gilardi can produce as solid 2nd/3rd liners. it would be good to see, and would get them another contract.

I don't expect much of them, but would like to see them fight for contracts.
