@JoshRimerHockey 3h
Been told to NOT be surprised if the Avalanche deal Paul Stastny to Buffalo for Ryan Miller. Stastny/Miller both headed to UFA in summer
An Avs newspaper reporter tweeted this after Rimer's
@adater 3h
“@Sidhu6_: When asked about his favourite goalie in the NHL (1:23 mark), first guy Roy mentions is Ryan Miller. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-_LAVv1OCs …”
Stastny might garner more in a trade at the deadline than Miller. FA top goalies seldom get dealt at the deadline most likely because playoff teams often have their #1 goalies, but teams often need skillful, talented centers. |

Very interesting interview there
Miller to Colorado makes all kinds of sense, I just don't know what we'd get back?
Stastny doesn't make much sense IMO bc he can walk after this year also
I'd think we'd be looking for prospects & picks, or young NHLers...
I'm not so sure Colorado is a good trading partner? |

Still get better value out of him then Leino.
For what he's paid he has 31 pts in 79 games with the Sabres, yikes. - TheLeafsInsider
and we should always use crappy contracts as comparisons.. this statement is pointless and stupid |

unless Buffalo solely does it because stastny is more marketable at the deadline and they have no other possible trading partners.. That is about the only thing i can think of, or it continues to look more and more like Cody is going to hold out and we need another center to take away his leverage |

NHL.com article about Fantasy Hockey. Has Enroth as a sleeper pick.
http://www.nhl.com/ice/ne...tm?id=680773&cmpid=nhl-go
3. Jhonas Enroth, G, Buffalo Sabres
It can't be ignored that Ryan Miller is in the final year of his contract and the Sabres signed 25-year-old Enroth to a two-year contract this summer. Miller, who has started 164 of the Sabres' 212 games the past three seasons, is a prime trade target for teams with an early goalie injury or needing a trade-deadline boost. The one who will benefit would be Enroth, a 5-foot-10 Swedish goalie who has a 21-18-7 record with a 2.72 GAA, and .914 save percentage in his NHL career. The fantasy goalie landscape is in flux, evidenced by the 77 goalies who started a game last season, and the Sabres' net is up for grabs for the first time in seven years. Enroth made a claim for more playing time by finishing last season 4-1-1 with a 1.55 GAA and .953 save percentage in seven starts. The Swede made an even bigger splash being named the best goaltender at the 2013 IIHF World Championship, leading his country to a gold medal with a 1.15 GAA and .956 save percentage. Target Enroth as your third goalie in one of the last rounds of your draft.
Projection: 36 games, 19-14-4, 2.53 GAA, .924 SV%, 3 SO |

I have a "meh" team. Middle of the road. I've got a few rookies and have to hope they do well. |

Agree on both points. Could Cody end up being Peca part 2 ? |

and what does that do for us..
puts us in the playoff race (for 8th place) prior to the trade deadline.. then darcy either:
a. holds him and we finish is 10th through 8th and we lose him for nothing in the summer
b. we trade him and get a good return at the deadline. . |

Kyle Turris.. Peca had more value at the time of his hold out than Cody has right now.. there is still some unknown to his game. |

Vanek said he would sign an extention if (i'm paraphrasing) the team is doing well. For what thats worth. He will be expensive to extend, even if the team is doing well and he is not. |
