Isles/Rangers games are a great rivalry and honestly like someone mentioned, bc the Isles have stunk, no one went....who really cares about who/which fans attend games. Now that the Isles are becoming a better team, we shall fill up more of the arena, but if not, you want to penalize a fan for trying to see their team.

That's what being a fan is all about, no matter where your team plays or who they play against, if a fan is able to attend a game of any city, state, that's great for them and great for the game of hockey....

Best game so far Isles/Pens all out brawl....

I love it when people propose targeted discrimination in a country based on freedom of expression!

when you are a team that fills 99.2 % of capacity like Nashville did in the 24 home games of the 2013 season, you can do things like this.

The Islanders filled 82.3 % of capacity in the Coliseum, so it probably isn't in their best interests to tell anybody that aren't allowed to buy a ticket, no matter who they root forhttp://bloguin.com/puckdr...n-attendance-numbers.html

Wang(and Dee for that matter but not in a literal sense of course)should be worried about putting a quality product on the ice. No one wants to watch their favorite team get their nuts kicked in by a rival with their fans in attendence. Just like in the eighties and even nineties to a lesser extent the attendence as far as Isles fans will grow with a competitive team as we saw last year. That's the reality of a fan base that has been through the ringer debatably more than most in any sport. Once the ball gets rolling with a competitive team this will be a mute subject. As far as the bold Jimbro it'll never happen(in reference to Dee's absurd "proposal"). Wang and his Islanders sell ticket packages to Montreal fans along with transportation and hotel stay at discounted rates for more volume. Doesn't sound like a team that would limit ticket sales to anyone. Especially when they for a FACT have promotions to get fans of other teams in the building. Ridiculous blog. The irony of this blog is that it's a lame attempt at generating hits from both fanbases . Along the same thought process as generating ticket sales from both which Wang can say he's not a fan of but he has done everything to facilitate. Let's be honest here.

I wonder what the fan split will be at the Islanders "home" winter classic game vs the Rangers?
- B2B76

20% Isles fans 20 % Ranger fans and 60 % Yankee fans who have no idea about hockey but will just root for the Rangers, well because they play in NYC

would be neat if wang offered Stepan an offer sheet for 7 years $4.9 per
that would send a message

Wouldn't mind Stephan being our third line center for years but not at that price. We have too many of our own who should be due for raises real soon. Also Strome is almost ready for that 2nd line spot

the only chance of the Rangers not matching an offer sheet would be a contract well over 4.9 million a year anyway
