Perhaps. It's Peyton vs. Eli on Sept 15. Giants home opener. Certainly one of the regular season games I've looked most forward attending.

Seravalling hate that term.

1) My favorite team makes a decision.
2) I disagree with the team's decision.
3) Anyone agreeing with the team's decision is a Stepford.

It's just as bad as:

3) Anyone disagreeing with the team's decision is silly because if they were that bright, they'd be on the team's payroll.

Though it's not as insulting as the lame excuse they try and sell the fan base expecting them to be gullible enough to believe anything they spew out.

That might be pushing it. Although unfortunately current or past Flyers have tragically perished in auto, plane, and boat accidents. Keep Meszaros away from trains.

Sadly, the Flyers have that one covered, too. 1970s forward Jim Cunningham was killed a few years ago as a result of being hit by an oncoming train while taking a walk near his home in Minnesota. He was trying to take a photo on the tracks.

I've always obsessed with core groups on the Flyers. How they mesh on the ice, as well as get along off the ice. I find that age and past history normally has a lot to do with it.

Roenick, Amonte, Recchi, LeClair, Primeau, Kapanen, Desjardins, Zhamnov, and Brashear always seemed to get along well together. Richards, Carter, Lupul, Upshall, Hartenll, Coburn and Carle another group who were notorious for going out together.

Giroux, Simmonds, Luke Schenn, Brayden Schenn, Steve Mason, Jake Voracek and Sean Couturier all have NHL history, world junior's history and family history.

I like the fact that Homer seems comfortable with not only picking up familiar and former Flyers but players who have played together long before being traded or signed here.

Wayne Simmonds, Brayden Schenn, Ray Emery and Simon Gagne are easily my favourites.

Outside of the O-Line being in tatters, the linebacker position being as thin as Manute Bol's corpse, Victor Cruz in a walking boot, and starting safety Stevie Brown being out for the year everything is hunky dory, peachy keen.

You'd think someone whose been walking the same path since childhood would've recognized the sound of a train coming or the vibrations on the tracts.

Wow, talk about jaded.

Here is my opinion on either signing Gagne to the third line LW spot or giving the ball to one of Laughton or McGinn. Simon Gagne would be a better option then anything we have in our system. His health history doesn't matter and his declining skill doesn't matter. If he's on the ice playing, he's still the best options. With this said, should Gagne or anyone else get hurt, I almost feel like it's an advantage to have McGinn as depth and the first call up if need be. Better to have a known call up then an unknown call up.

Disappointing 9-7 regular season, playoff road warriors, super bowl. That's the formula!

I don't want to sound evil or cruel, but, unless there was some malfunction with the whole track/rail system, what the hell was he doing standing in front of an oncoming train? That's just a very bad idea.

Ill bet he wasnt standing in front of it. Those trains hang over the sides of the tracks pretty far in certain cases. A hatch not secured or a bar sticking out even further will hit you pretty damn hard.

A kid I coached in baseball had his face ripped off by a ladder protruding a little too far off the side of a tanker car. By all accounts his friends said he was standing far enough away. But sometimes it is hard to judge. Especially at night or when you have had a few.

That's true. Still, there were areas around me growing up when trains came by, and I always gave them an extremely wide berth. I'm not trying to dump on the guy, but there's very little reason for it to happen. Again, I'm sorry to hear he died, but it's just a bit odd.

Because millions of American will get DirectTV for that reason alone. Center Ice wouldn't have the same effect.

Im saying anyone who thinks Gaborik is anything more than just a goal scorer or is anywhere close to being as good as Giroux is smoking crack. Gaborik also got rated higher than Tavares, Bergeron, as good as Zetterberg?????

He didn't use the best of examples so I'll try. Voracek is an 88 and had a good season last season but Patrick Kane is also an 88 and Voracek is nowhere near the player Kane is. Same style of players, only different in size but Patrick Kane is elite.
