Smith can be a good player but him and grit just don't belong together. Fraser doesn't seem to have the d awareness or speed to play a role in the NHL. |

I thought after Khokhlachev's WJC and games games the CHL his stock rose. - tomburton99
I don't know about you but I thought he looked pretty bad in the WJC. That line with Yakupov just wasn't clicking. |

Absolutely. Dan Boyle... Brian Rafalski and Scott Niedermeyer were decent a few years ago too I suppose. - toaster12
Niedermeyer is 6'1. The point was that all these 5'11 and below defenders are pretty much elite or as near elite as you can get, outside of tweeners like Ian White and Grant Clitsome who are bottom pairing guys.
So for Krug to succeed he really needs to shine. |

I could not agree more. In order for player A to be considered good, player A must be a good player. |

Another great write-up by Adam...
If prospects is your thing check out NHL Young Guns Daily on twitter @YoungGunsDaily. They write about prospects from all 30 teams along with projections and player comparables. Also, they have a few more depth prospects such as O'Gara for the B's. |

Looks like management agrees, they just replaced their director of amateur scouting. |

Nope you need to have a cool nickname like "Sid", "Geno", or "MayRay". |

Seth Griffith should definitely be in the top 10. His size is a concern as you mentioned but there's plenty of guys who do just fine at his size, and he's super fit and dedicated to health. He's over a point per game in both regular season and playoffs after 4 years in the OHL, and has been to the memorial cup several times. This kid is going to muck some barns in the AHL some day soon. - PotvinFan
I've gotten to watch alot of Griffith for the Knights and I dont think he'll become anything in the NHL. I hope he does, but i just dont see it. He's too much of a junior sniper and perimeter player. |

Definitely some reasons he was passed over his 1st year of eligibility. Will be interesting to see how he fares in the A. |

His twitter handle is a guy that pretends is okay with it, but spends an awful amount of time complaining about it. |
