I don't think "bad" is the correct word. It's more about Morin's slow skating speed.

It is the short choppy step motion he has used since he was a tyke...

That's if the Hawks first PP opportunity is in the 2nd period. I know I'll be calling for Kompon's head about two seconds after the Hawks PP craps the bed. That could happen in the 1st period.
- EKolb13

I could deal with a season start on the PP similar to last year. They scored at least one (six total) in each of their first four games.

I am going to predict Smith, Hayes, Pirri and LeBlanc fill the open spots....

I hope the success with the PK continues, to me that's more important than seeing a huge turnaround in the PP.

I believe Q has some good players to work with and I like his plan of using guys on the PK who don't play on the PP and limited ES minutes. Eli...who were some of the better penalty killers in Rockford? I thought I read somewhere that Morin did well killing penalties last year.

Morin was near the top in short handed scoring with 3 goals and 1 assist.Hayes was around 36th with 2 goals.I have not found the defensive stat yet.

Apparently Brian Boyle (Rangers) is available, with a cap hit of o Lu $1.7 million and being excellent on face offs he could be an excellent option for the 4C.

You're probably right. Hopefully everyone's staying in game shape this summer.

In the Hawk's video on iTunes, don't remember which series, but Kompon is shown giving instructions before a PP, and Kane just ignores him and starts giving his own instructions.

Maybe I saw more than was there, but still....

Not being greedy here, would like to see something better then 19th rated PP.

ESPECIALLY from a team that finished second in goals scored with the PP they HAD.

IMO, yes - only $6, I think - decent interviews, different angles on the play on the ice - and it's a history of the Hawks' SC year.

Best interview comments: after Bickell's tying goal, Q says Bolland's line hadn't been out there for five or six minutes - he thought he'd put them out the and come back with Toews and Company with 30 seconds left.

And Bickell saying that after Bolland's goal, they all wondered, did this really just happen?

Unbelievable to everyone.

Right around that part (Q talking about putting Bolland's line out) you hear Kane say "I got Bolly". Was he calling the goal?

That wouldn't surprise me. One could say Kane knows a little something about scoring a Cup Clinching goal...

That'd be cool, but I'd bet that was for a line change, normally you'd (in my experience at least) tell the other two forwards who you have on the change so you don't get too many men. Especially with 2 regular centers like Bolland and Krugs on the ice

Just watched it. I spent an hour plus watching it grinning like an idiot. For me, that was worth seven bucks.

I can't wait to watch that. Is there a chance Teravainen could make the Hawks this year?

I realize someone else pointed out that he might play after the Finnish season is over; but I mean is there an outside chance he could make the opening night roster? Does he have anything in his contract that says he can't play in N.A. all year?

The last two seasons I have seen Blackhawk free agent or invitee Johnny McGuire play against and for the Oshawa Generals in the OHL. This guy is insane! He skates OK has limited hockey ability but he is a throwback in terms of fighting. If anyone goes to the tourney in London expect to see this guy at the center of any scrum, if he hasn't in fact started it. And don't expect to see him hold on for dear life, he will be swinging, miss as many as he lands and will leave himself wide open to get clocked. Seeing as he will want to get noticed I expect one or more fights a games during the tourney.

JJ,

Any news on Shalunov? Do the Hawks have any intentions of ever getting this kid signed to an ELC?
