Stop I quit. It's been almost four months but I miss it. I used to love thinking and writing right after. I stopped because it was making me to lazy. But I've kinda realized that's just me in general.........

That "exclusive" by Duthie was a big yawn but one rumor Lu did banish was that he vetoed trades that were on the table. If that's true, it leads me to think that either Gillis fcuked up the interest he did have or there was no real interest at all.

Tough to see how even a good run of 30 games at say a .930 sv% would suddenly get people banging down the door.

Luongos interview today clearly showed he ready to play out his contract. If thats not the case behind the scenes then we'll see. But im thinking Lou will finish his career a Canuck. Unless Lack turns out to be insanely stellar as a back up and they eventually buy luongo out or trade him once his NTC expires.

One of the better and more educated posters over on HF said that every time Lou has answered questions of that ilk he's worded his answer very carefully and the same every time, and while Lou always says he never "blocked" or "vetoed" a trade, it does sound like he may have indicated that it was Florida or TB or nothing...

I agree with that assessment. I just read the Puck Daddy article and it certainly looks like he gave Gillis a set of (narrow) parameters. As such, it seems unlikely that Gillis would approach him with a possible trade to any other team (especially knowing he had veto power). Of course anything is possible, but the semantics point to more than just what is being presented.
