I think he's a very good GM, but that's a question better answered in 1-4 years. He could prove to be an outstanding GM or he could prove to be a below average GM. His record to date has been very good, but it's a pretty small sample size for a GM.

I said that Botch (and others) reported that ownership requested that Gillis do what it take to sign Luongo long term. You assumed that meant Gillis threw Aquillini under the bus and blamed them for everything.

It is the same as Reportedly Gillis was not a fan of Torts and Aquillini is . Botch reported it weeks before and said don't be surprised if Torts is the new coach even that Gillis is not a fan of his style.

If I am a player and a reporter asks me about the Luongo situation I say" Do you want to talk to me or about Lu? He is 20 feet away go ask him yourself". Next time I am pretty sure they wont ask again.

Gillis' ball-less behaviour should have cost him his job...if he were a good gm, he would have refused to do anything that would screw the team long term...its far easier to replace the gm than it is the owners...so while management is also to blame, it is gillis' job to make sure he is doing the best job he could...and he didnt do that...if the owners were doing things that he didnt agree with that could screw the team long term...he should have quit on the spot...he had the final say...

So what? I've already admitted to not liking gillis, and said I've over exaggerated some of the things he's said...and i'll "quite" being a pain when you stop telling me to stop being a pain...and yes i do have "half of brain" as you put it...I fully understood what he meant by it actually...so some might say i have "full brain"
