If Luongo plays lights out this season they might actually find a trade partner this summer. One less year on his contract, $6.7M less to pay, less potential recapture for the team that acquires him. - KB3Point0
Ya let's hope to god he's top 3 in goalie stats, while winning another gold. |

Not sure if anyone else posted this...but yikes, what a mess!
@TSNJamesDuthie
Luongo: I had moved on from Vancouver and was ready to start fresh somewhere else...like a divorce...except she wanted me back".
@TSNJamesDuthie
Luongo also talks about breaking down after not being dealt at the deadline and "blacking out" when he learned VAN traded Schneider.
@TSNJamesDuthie
Luongo also reveals that in May he had serious discussions with the NHLPA about the possibility of voiding his deal and walking away from 40M. - Colin Dambrauskas

Ward got ahead of himself and got too caught up in being first. Being right took a backseat. He screwed up. Not that he had much choice, but at least he owned up to to it! |

Not even a little bit. Was just giving credit to Ward for taking ownership of his mistake where too many others in the media do not. - KB3Point0
The stuff you're referring to previously though, was just rumours being reported, nothing was based on fact, only what they've believed to be the case...its even worse than what ward did because ward had every right to believe that trade went through... |

No. Botchford spoke directly with Luongo earlier this week. This was up yesterday: http://www2.canada.com/th...c7b-bcd1-1ed9d18a16fa&p=2 |

Not at all , at this time the only way to trade Lu is for another bad contract. |

So, as someone else said earlier today, Gillis was expecting management to bail him out by allowing him to buy out the rest of luongos contract and they wouldn't allow it. You still havent shown anywhere that management forced Gillis to sign Luongo to such a boneheaded long contract, which is the entire point. |

So Ben Affleck will be the new Batman in the upcoming Superman v Batman movie. I have respect for Affleck as a director and sometimes as actor but does anyone else feel this just isn't a good fit at all? |

He's a good actor, and I have faith in his ability to pull of a older Batman. Honestly though, I'd be extremely excited if they announced he was directing it. The guy knows how to make great films. |

Botchford (and others although he's the only specific name I can recall off the top of my head) has reported this as fact. |

Well isn't that special, you should be able to find a link then...and it should be showing that Gillis is openly throwing the acquillinis under the bus and blaming them for everything because this is what you're saying botchford said is fact |

Taking the subject on a slight tangent, where do see Gillis ranked in terms of the league's GMs? |

This deserves a gif, but this was what I came up with. Where's Nucker or Pk'er when you need them
EDIT
Seriously though, he does a pretty good job, top 15 IMO |

He's made questionable decisions while under pressure, but the team has performed admirably on the ice, as well as a business, under his watch. I'd slot him in somewhere between 10-15 right now, but its pretty tough to judge where to place the guy. If he wins a cup next season, he'd rocket up the list right away. |
