Put Stamkos on those two Hawks teams and they still win the Cups, IMO. Put Toews on the Bolts and they still aren't a deep threat in the East. Hawks are just a well-oiled machine (Kane, Keith, Seabs, Sharp and tons on depth). That being said, I'd take Stamkos; he's the better player, just doesn't have the help around him...yet.

Toews vs. Stamkos is not a good comparison. I would have gone with Toews vs Bergeron or Toews vs Datsyuk

Essentially by doing Toews v. Stamkos you have to decide whether you want to start your team with a scorer type or with a leader/playmaker type.

Another interesting one would be between a Stay at home D, like Ryan Suter and a Offensive, Letang type D?

Okay, I think we've had just about enough of the Hawks fans homer takes. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer here folks. Building a team around either of these guys is intriguing regardless of which.

My one big hang up though in this discussion, is finding a pure goal scorer like Stamkos is much more difficult than finding a good 2 way center. It just is. That's my biggest hang up with choosing Toews over Stams.

sigh....(actually reads article) Yeah that makes more sense. I go with Stamkos. Scoring like his is very rare and if a real team is built around him, look out. If you put Stamkos in CHI they still win 2 cups. Toews is a great leader and two-way player but ask Bergeron how that worked out all those years Boston sucked ass. Stamkos is going through a similar issue, his team has a lot of holes.

As for the D, I'll take Suter. A true #1 D is a must have for winning a cup. For example Chara or Keith.
