Mainly a metal head but I try to give everything a fair shot. Audioslave sounded like a good idea but the execution was as devoid of energy as a Seattle heroin house reunion.

I agree with what Lash8 said... First album was great, but after that...

In other news, Johnny Horton had such a (frank)ing great voice...

Why does everyone assume the Hawks would win if Stamkos replaced Toews? People realize how many situations Toews is put in and excels for the Hawks that Stamkos just doesn't do at the same level right? Think the Hawks PK, which carried them for a while, is as good with 91 as opposed to 19? Or the team that has to out possess the other team to win losing an extra 10% of their #1 centers FO? On a team that can't win a draw anyway? Or how about being one of the league's best possession players year in and year out, no matter who plays on his line? Also Toews scores even strength goals at pretty much the same rate despite playing in a more demanding defensive system and being a much better player without the puck. The pick is Toews

Has Stamkos WON a thing ?
- philco28

Just the goal scoring for 2of last 4 years and top two for the other 2 on a team without the supporting cast Toews has. Both are great choices however, depends if you want flash or smash

sigh....(actually reads article) Yeah that makes more sense. I go with Stamkos. Scoring like his is very rare and if a real team is built around him, look out. If you put Stamkos in CHI they still win 2 cups. Toews is a great leader and two-way player but ask Bergeron how that worked out all those years Boston sucked ass. Stamkos is going through a similar issue, his team has a lot of holes.

As for the D, I'll take Suter. A true #1 D is a must have for winning a cup. For example Chara or Keith.

- glove_was_stuck

I agree. Having offence from the back end is nice. But having a D that can shut down opposing teams top line and you're going to win a lot more games than relying on a D-man to score.

Stamkos has/had St. Louis and Lecavalier. I'd call that a pretty able supporting cast.

How is Stamkos losing in the poll. That is just ridiculous. I'd take Stamkos easily...Top 2 sniper in the game.

Describing Toews as a "good" two way center is possibly the dumbest post so far on this thread. And this is HB. Well done.
- FinAddict

Well done indeed! You missed the overall point jack ass. If you would have taken the time to comprehend what I wrote instead of jerking off over trying to figure out how to insult me, you would have realized I was speaking in generalities, not specifically about Toews.

And Purcell, who is one of the more underrated guys in the league, but...

Compare the goaltending, defense and bottom 6 and it's not even close.

A) there are MANY more Chicago fans then Lightning fans and, B) both are awesome players, but gave the edge to Toews (not sure I blame them)
