While I can agree with parts of this colin, I still think its up to the team to make sure they don't rush anything. Its all fine a dandy that we give the players a ton of ice time, but if theyare constantly getting bebeat down/losing ypure not going to develop is the right manor. I love the flames prospects, but them alone are not good enough to be competitive. So a fine balance of vets with high leadership skill sets amd then a nice blend of 23-28 year old players with skill personally I think that's what will expedite the process. The vets leave or retire and the rooks will slot in full time 2-4 years from now. Kinda echos the thought of dumping cammy. Except I'd like to see a vet ++ or a few mid lvl players come in. I'm having a hard time finding the identityy of thse flames. Tjat said its year one and I have confedence feaster will do it right. Fingers crossed that he employs a few more staff and also stays transparent with the direction he intends to take.

I agree...but a lot of the good Flames prospects aren't freshly drafted. Looking at guys like Gaudreau, Reinhart, Baertschi, Hanowski, Knight, Granlund; these guys aren't 18, they've already had a few years of development behind them.

The Flames may have officially began their rebuild last year but they have a lot of prospects that are almost ready to go.

Monohan on the other hand.....a little bit of a different story.

Nothing like dropping several hundred dollars to go watch the Flames play a 2-1 snorefest. Have fun with that.

Haha who cares what he thinks. Yea he seems to be from bc but if it weren't for gretzky his team and half the teams in the west wpuldnt exist. Not to mention we pay higher ticket prices to subsidize those sunbelt teams. Look at how much debt the kings have vs the flames either wayI'm not sure why you guys would bite on that lamers comments. Kings are quite a boring teamto watch.

Am I missing something? I didn't think there was rev. sharing in the NHL...

I have a gut feeling he sticks with the big club this year.

If he can play in all situations then I'm all for it. Seems to be the general feeling that Monohan was one of the most NHL ready prospects out there.

Oh True. It's only a bucket of nickels to watch the snorefest in LA. Road trip anyone?

Im willing to bet that Hanowski plays a good portion of the year with the Flames...this year is the perfect year to let as many prospects as you can play and see what you have.
- Colin Dambrauskas

The flames have way to many one way contracts for the prospects to be getting games in before the trade deadline. The only way some prospects will get playing time is through injury.

I will be shocked if Hanowski ends up playing more than 50 total NHL games in his career.

????

If you watched any flames games last year they had no problem scoring but could not keep the puck out of the net. I don't see it changing unless Hartley changes his defense plan.

It will be 5-3, 6-4 games the flames will be losing.

Yeah I hear that as well. I just hope if he ends up on the 3rd line Hartley gives him players that can play... I know most think he should be starting on the 2nd line but to start the season I don't see Hartley doing it.

Everyone rips the Flames but they actually have some depth......he can play with guys like hudler, cammy, glen-x, stempniak, baertschi......lot's of decent players to put him out there with.

the Flames have very good veteran depth they just lack the high end guys. That being said the high end guys they had last year just didn't get it done. The way Iggy and Kipper played last year they are not losses at all.

not saying the team is gonna be good but I don't think they are any worse...everyone will be picking them for dead last but I would bet against it
